Hi its me again the WiFi works fine had the for over two years great sounding amp and lots I can do on it. So I don't know why you having problems could be the area you are in the WiFi very weak

I got the 100 GTX and the amp great I had it 2 years now and no problems at all keep making them fender I love it

GTX is Not Good at all. Purchased it and tried about 1 week. Absolutely buggy bluetooth. Just does not work. When you switch betwenn the sounds or try to run through the backstage it just hang up until switched on/off. Last drop for me was guitar disconection caused by bluetooth. Sent back to the Seller. Just computer toy. Purchased boss then. Satisfied. Not such flexible bluetooth but works. Can not advise GTX50 just due to the bluetooth issues. Sound is good. Ideas inside of the software are good too. But it simply does not work well for me. And it looks like fender can not or just does not like to fix bluetooth issues. Pretty sure GTX100 has the same issues.

I traded a Champion 100 for this amp and what a disappointment. I've had the GTX 50 for about 3 years and the Bluetooth problems are real. Every time I attempt to connect my iPhone via Bluetooth I have to unpair everything first then it might connect to my phone. The main reason I bought this amp was the connectivity which turns out to be frustrating and don't get me started on how complex the footswitch is. I guess I'm an analog guy. I will be trading back for the Champion 100.

I’m having the same problems. Bought my GTX100 new February 2024. It’s very Frustrating and makes me regret buying the amp. For those considering a GTX. Think again. This issue is real.

I've watched your review, and read the coments...The issue with the GTX Bluetooth is absurd... people are trying to advocate for the amp, but the fact is: It doesn't Work. Either you r controlling the app, ou using the Bt just for playing a backtrack and playing the guitar, it will JAM. If you can't make your "extra features" to Work, them just don't offer them, or charge for them. It's saddly unreliable.. Fender should work on that...

I've never had a problem with mine, plays like a dream. I have had mine year's & I wouldn't part with it.

Dude, don't pair your phone to the GTX. If it is already, unpair it. Then go to the Bluetooth menu on the GTX and unpair all. Then restart the amp followed by restarting the app and in the app tell it to search for the amp. It should find it NP. Always unpair all in the BT menu on the amp to clear connection issues.

15.11.2023 received from Thomann a new Fender Am Pro II Strat with aesthetic problems on the fretboard... really bad: deep scratches on the rosewood fingerboard at the nut with 2mm missing wood on the edge, bad poly coating sanding at the both edges frets 1-4. I was thinking to accept the aesthetics with the idea that with time, maybe I will lightly sand those edges and fill the scratches... but big surprise when, after few days the A string collapsed in the nut slot, ending up the lowest of the 6 strings and buzzing when plucked open... And now comes the Thomann part... I informed them, they offered a replacement. Sent back the guitar, arrived at service center... now is already the 4th day I haven't received any news. Meanwhile they run out of stock for that model. I've asked them to make a QC on the replacement giving some strong reasons... it looks that similar issues have been found on several guitars from Fender in Europe and I feel, that not making their own QC, I am playing at big money lottery... maybe I get lucky to get the "Fender-certified quality assurance" instrument... maybe not...

I had the same thing now with my GTX100, suddenly all controls were blocked and the only way to fix it was to turn off/on the amp.

My GTX50 is about 2 yrs old. Used lightly at home as I primarily play acoustic. Bluetooth worked perfectly well in the beginning with Fender tone app. I was very happy with it for what I used it for. Now, will not connect to app at all. Bluetooth seems out. Tried everything to troubleshoot to no avail. Very disappointed as my Spark amp that is 4 yrs old still works fine connecting to its app. Fender, you should not put out this poor quality.

Yeah. The Bluetooth on this thing sucks. But I do like the amp. But it's my secondary up now because Bluetooth sucks on it. And if you call fender they just say yeah you have to repair it every time you reboot it. Well that's not acceptable I think it's time for a class action lawsuit

What you describe is very sad because I love fender too and my best amp I bought from them in 2012. After the closure of the Fender Fuse, I realised that the company had gone down the wrong path. In situations like this, they say the marketers beat the engineers. But judging by the disgusting leftist propaganda on all fender media resources, it wasn't the marketers who won, it was the leftist propagandists. That seems to be the perspective where all modern companies are going. I think if nothing changes, fender will cease to exist.

You cant ask too much to this Bluetooth signal. Its 500$ amplifier not a 1300$ cellphone. You have to choose between controling the amp via Bluetooth or streaming external sound/music via Bluetooth that is the only « problem » wich is normal btw. I have tried others who can do everything as the gtx and man the fender is a well packed monster, you just have to know how to use it like it should be. You cant ask a vtt to race a f1.

Hey there, Ich hab auch eine Player Duo Sonic, seit ca. 2, 3 Jahren und meine Geschichte mit ihr ist der deinen nicht unähnlich. Ich hab sie allerdings damals um nur 300€ gebraucht gekauft. Meine Hauptgitarre ist eine Strat die ich im Laufe der Jahre immer wieder mit Upgrades versehen hab (momentan 2013 MIM Body, CTS Pots, Switchcraft switch & Buchse, DiMarzio PUs und American Performer RW neck). Die Duo Sonic sollte so quasi klanglich ihre kleine Schwester werden. Die Probleme bei meinem Exemplar sind ganz überstehende Bünde (nicht schlimm aber spürbar), die Poties krachen mittlerweile etwas und ganz komisch ist dass sich man manchmal ein lautes Knacken hört wenn man die Schrauben der Tonabnehmer berührt (noch nicht sicher ob es sich Erdungs-Problem oder Statische Ladung handelt obwohl ich schon einiges darüber gelesen hab..) der switch geht noch klar aber wirkt superbillig und muss sicher bald ausgetauscht werden. Generell hab ich sie mal aufgemacht und muss sagen die gesamte Elektronik wirkt suuuupercheap (minderwertiger als ich es bei nicht 'Player Series' MIM Modellen gesehen hab) und wird demnächst ausgetauscht werden. Ich glaub damit muss man vor allem bei intensiver Nutzung mittlerweile bei allen non US Fender Dingern rechnen...leider. Das mit deinem Gitarrenbauer / Reperateur find ich ja krass... Ich weiß zwar slbst nicht bis ins Detail was alles für den s.g. Sitar Sound verantwortlich sein kann aber ein Profi sollte sowas auf jeden Fall hinbekommen. Probleme dieser Art hatte ich bis dato nicht. Das mit der Intonation hat mir wegen short scale und weniger Spannung auf den Saiten als bei herkömmlicher Fender Mensur auch zu schaffen gemacht. Auf meiner Strat hab ich einen 10er Satz und mittlerweile einen 11er auf der Duo Sonic, das kompensiert einiges der Spannung und das intonieren funkt viel besser als mit einem 10er. Also meine ist nach wie vor eine Baustelle die ich aber demnächst angehen werd. Ich hoffe du hast deine Troubles mittlerweile gelöst und viel Spaß damit. Greetings from Austria ;)

Do you know how to set your intonation? To make your guitar play in tune with itself? Make it so that the harmonic at the 12th fret and the fretted note are in perfect tune with each other. I might be wrong but your intonation sounds off to me.

I think you're doing too much with the Bluetooth. I've had my amp for over 1yr. No problems. I use the amps wifi connection to update. I use the Bluetooth to change settings. When I want to play something from my phone that's all I'm doing. If I want a backing track I plug into aux jack. It's an amp not a multi input router.
