Very interesting review mate, I just got a Duo Sonic HS Sienna. I really liked the tone....but then I ve noticed that the E and G chord has a kind of diferent vibration, very extrange. sometimes it sounds like the guittar is out of tune...but once I checked with my tunner...all tis ok..... I found a kind of solution for this problem, I changed strings to 8.5 - 40 earnie ball, this gauge strings almost fixed totally the problem.

Yeah also had problems with the higher strings. Its not fixed 100 percent but it works. Glad you like it.

Hey thanks for posting this, very useful. I was thinking about picking up one of these guitars, could you recommend me anything I should check on the guitar before I take it out of the store? Thank you

Hey glad you liked it. Yeah you should check every string played open. Check for sure every note played on the entire neck. And cause I realized it check the Neck Pocket for Cracks. But other than that try it! The guitar has a pretty unique and deep sound. Also works super good with Fuzz Stuff. Always would buy the guitar again without a doubt. Love it! Thanks for tuning in.

My friend, could you talk a little more about those cracks at the neck pocket? You meant the wood of the body are cracking? Or is the PU finish cracking?

Seems to be in the lacquer. When I remove the neck there are no cracks in the wood of the neckpocket. Seems that the lacquer is under tension and breaks super easily. Hope I could help you with that. Thanks for tuning in!

Greetings from Austria ;)

How about trying a 1993-1997 22.7" scale MIM Duo Sonic, or the Squier Classic Vibe version 2008-2011? My 2017 Fender MIJ 50's Hybrid Strat is amazing, though no doubt you'd find some flaws in in it! Look forward to more 'nerdy' videos.

A friend of mine is a guitar luthier and he will replace the nut and will make it playable. Will make a video about that later. Thanks for tuning in again😊
