Hello John, I have been watching your videos for years. every one about ten times. You have inspired me to finally paint my 58-foot narrowboat. Just one question for now...Do you use a special make of foam roller? I ask, because when glossing doors of my house. The sponge roller goes all floppy and becomes unattached from its plastic core. Making it no good anymore. Does this happen to you? and you continually have to fit a new roller. I have managed to find solvent-resistant furry roller refills. but no sponge one. Awesome videos! You use high density foam 4” rollers, where do you get these because the ones I’ve tried fall to bits. The low flock mohair one leave a mottled affect. This painting skill is something I need to practice! Thanks

Curious now if i can add coach paint into a spray gun with paint thinners and just spray gun it coz i need to paint my classic landrover and i cant hold a brush or roller😂

After a complete disaster trying to paint a table brunswick green, I sanded it down and started again using your technique. I have to say, I'm well chuffed even after just the first coat, I can't wait to get another coat on to see how it looks. Many thanks for sharing and taking the time record the videos!

I've been watching a lot of your uploads to get some practical information to help me paint a boat for a friend . He hasn't got the funds or place to get it painted in a tunnel , so it's going to get a freshen up on the mooring . Although it can't be taken back to the steel , is it still possible to simply take it back to the original primer , taking off any flaking paint , then rub down , re prime , and paint ? I appreciate it's not ideal , but If there is anything I could do with the constraints on this job , I'd really appreciate the advice .

I’d like to use vactan on my van roof, just wondered, can I use normal vehicle primer on top of Vactan ? Very informative video 👍
