Nothing worse than wondering why you are running out of space wondering why your plants arent flowering just to find out you got a massive light leak Ive always used "if you can read a book for senior citizens (larger font) in the room its to bright" Outdoor we can only do autos because theres multiple street lights right next to the garden

I found that through my own research growers make growing cannabis more difficult than it should be. I am growing 2 plants from seedling to vegetative state right now. I was using one regular LED bulb and about 14 hours of natural sunlight (window grow). Just yesterday i switched to a full spectrum grow bulb removing the distributor to increase the light intensity. If you want to play it safe, you can place the distributor back over the bulb to remove it. My plants are thriving really good. I am a first time grower so im learning through trial and error, and i watch how my plants react to light and plus water and nutrients. What I've learned so far is they will tell you almost immediately something is wrong and it is your job to narrow down potential problems in order to find the solution. This guy knows his stuff and is exactly what ive been looking for, for weeks. Well done!

YOU SAVED MY ENTIRE CROP OF 8 PLANTS FROM RQS COMPANY. This is my first grow and I knew about the light during budding thing. What I did not put together was that my "Clone Room" (bathroom lol) and my Kitchen were pointed directly at the plants. They stopped EVERYTHING and after I watched this I went out to see how dark it was. It wasnt. I turned them off and after only 4 days they are doing GREAT! THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thanks Professor for this detailed lecture. Very informative. Is there a table that shows Light intensity and nutrient uptake correspondence so we know how high the EC should be at a certain Light intensity? I am asking because I saw an interview with a grower that runs his seedling as high as 2.1 EC in coco coir and uses very strong lighting from the getgo. I was wondering how much DLI would be needed or optimal for such a strong solution. Laer he gives nutrients at 3.0 and higher.

Would infrared light effect them in darkness? As this would mean heat sources would have negative impacts lightwise to them at night

So with black light, once you're ready for the sleep, tackle, you give an hour or an hour and a 1/2 of black light, then pure total darkness for a certain period of time and then the same range of hour hour and a 1/2 black light when you're bringing your plants out of your sleep tackle. And then crank up the lights and wattage and juice. And give it some light for 12:16 hours. Robotes you know big debate over natural or artificial fertilizers. Have you experimented with human p? They probably didn't know what the hell they're doing, and you guys are probably a lot smarter. And I get it if you take green leaves and you pack them in a bucket and then about 3/4, full or clay jar or whatever, and then you fill it the rest up with human P, you wait a week or 2, then you add more human P. You play sat in the Sun for about 2 weeks after the last piece has been put in and the ph and the P will break down the leaves, and you'll have a 100% nitrogen plus a whole bunch of vitamins. And your marijuana plants will be greener bigger and you won't have to use artificial chemicals to give it nitrogen, and you know, there's a wide variety of things that people nowadays think that they're doing great with pot, but we used to do this s*** back in the 60s and 70s. Have you guys used black lights for the sleep tackle? And do you pump in air to the roots through aquaponics and do you use air filters in your gro room for purified air? And do you uh, use music to grow your marijuana? You know, there's certain music for the sleep tackle, like bot Beethoven, jakowski, meditation music. And Delta waves work excellent for sleep sackle. If you want to put in Delta, wait and then you can put on Theta Beta alpha during the waking stages and gamma, of course, yes, sublime mono medicine juice does help your plants grow and the different types of music so during your growth cycle. On each set of growth cycle work through the variety of gospel, country, poke, classical and blues and R&B. Rock and even heavy metal towards the end. During the day, just have multiple levels of music and then right at the end, just before sleep tackle have the hard heavy metal. And then go into your sleep thock

Light dep glasshouses, or cheaper hoophouses, seems to be the best and most efficient way to use the sun with a backup source. Some cultivars like Mimosa and Banana Punch produce indoor quality flower outside up in tougher to grow north states, using sun most of the time. Seen it rec shops...first hand. Indoor just is not making it in major grower states like Michigan anymore.. unless you have solar, the expenses for electric bill alone has sunk dozens of growers 2023-2024. Efficiency is king in 4 states I have grown the last decade... if you are not using the sun and light deps, you have less product and higher bills compared to hard working 365 day southern farms with hoop or glass houses

Can you please do a study 2025, comparing uva and uvb from T5 compared to UVA and UVB from LED on trichome enhancement? (sorry, typo edit)?? There is still conflicting HPLC evidence and side by side visual differences when using it... The distance and time used per day seems to not be fully proven, either way.... thank you, for your research on this but I think we need deeper studies.

That's interesting I also was wondering the same for a different reason. I noticed my reptile bulb t5 "36 made my flowers and some plants have more anthocyanins. I literally just grow random plants and test different lights or nutrients. I killed so many but I learned interesting things.

What if I’m growing outside, I can’t block 100% of lights at night (moon, stars, passing cars, etc) I don’t live in the city but there’s still a small amount of light pollution, just wondering if it’s worth the investment to go indoors
@hiroyopoetker
@hiroyopoetker 10 күн бұрын
If the outside lights are bright enough that you can read normal sized fonts from a book, not a lit phone screen, then its too bright. In other words, if you can't read the letters holding the book at arms length then the light pollution isn't enough to effect flowering growth! Stars and moonlight are not problems!

Thanks for great content. can you explain about ppm during the growth cycle? most people suggest starting with low ppm and increasing it but some also say it is not necessary. does the plant benefits from lower ppm in early stage and could even get harm in higher ppms?

So if you missed it he says, "from seedling to finish water with a nutrient solution of 1.2-1.3 EC", with the same 2-1-2 ratio. Super simple and not confusing to the plant. So PPM so about 600-700ppm! This solution is very low intensity but enough for producing greenery! Just look at his example plants, all green!

Hey Buddy so I have white tipping occurring in a strain right now. It is Black Orchard by Clearwater Genetics. I thought it was from My UVA light I turned it down and it seemed to have stopped. But upon seeing this video I guess I should lower my light intensity. This was very helpful thank you so much. Have you tested it with UVA light as well? My plants are close to the lights unfortunately

If closed everything up & had a exhaust that's double (min) to triple in other words 4×4 u need 175 cfm coming in the bottom of tent on non stop when lights on & a exhaust of 350 to 450cfm u will get negetive pressure & then any flap or drain hole u open in the bottom of tent fresh air will gush in for free! It's like having fans at 75cfm for free where ever u have openings. If u get support poles u won't have to pit up with ur walls caving in & loosing quater a foot from each side of ur tent so you don't loose yield! Keeps orders in, keeps humidity stable, keeps temps stable, keeps pests away cause they feel the negetive pressure from meters away cause there so lite & stay away & much more plus fresh air coming in ur tent 24/7 & excellent for maintaining humidity at. Light. Will never rise more then 10% after lights off. If u don't have negetive pressure ull have the probs u have with temps & Humpty but more so temps, that's why it don't work for you. Give it go champ. And all the benefits I mentioned ur missing out on plus blowing odorous out of ur tent & giving access to pests & ull have to LITRILLY live with them to maintain environmental. Happy growing & nice plants but u should make more use of every square foot & inch

I always think the plants need a dim, overcast day. to chill out, re compose. the light control will probably depends on the crop and the intervals. some fruit crops also need shady days to develop flavour. I don't think they worry to much about flavour in the industry though

I'm almost convinced that plant can absorb IR, far red. when the plant is in the dark cycle with out any ill effects, not sure it benefits it though. but back in the day I used a IR heater during the dark cycle not even thinking at the time it was light, but the growth rate and leaf size, and yeild Vs watt for the pot size was far above any I've grown since. my trajectory seemed to be master level yeild then a downwards slope since. I think probably other factors at play. I may test it when I find a good keeper, mother, where I can find a benchmark!. then I'll go to shortwave radio lol

and also possibly test the effects of magnetic resonance. as an electrician I've been taught you have to unfurl extension cords because it creates a magnetic field when looped up, and we also use a clamp meter to check resistance. not sure what reading it would give around a plant stem, I'll have to see if I can get hold of one,it may have an effect on the plants natural processes. maybe coil looped around the pot taking the power of the light through it, and one around the stem above the soil. I'll maybe report back when'if I can grow a standard to work from.
