Hello Sven ! I own an Himalayan since 2018 (one of the firsts, with some little "youth problems"). I had also lots of buffeting and turbulences because of the windshield. My solution was to shorten the shield, so it just protects the dashboard against rain. And its far better now, instead of the buffeting I just have the "shhhh" of the wind, wich is not a problem, considering the speedrange of the Himy ! I have a blog (in french) with the mods I've done on the bike, but unfortunately, youtube don't like web addresses in the comments.

Honda should make it that way standard! Not used those tyres. Yet. Morocco in the planning for 2026. Maybe a good option. Ride safe 👍

Yes :-) Also look at the Desert variant to use in Marocco. Happy planning :-)

I am unclear does this unit require a live phone connection 100% of the time - then it’s using phone battery and data ?

No it dont need if you from the unit download the maps you want to use in advance, when connected to wifi

With alum. panniers this bike is, almost, as wide as a car ! So : adaptive CC, LCW, CW..... soon, maybe - self steering.... WHY then to sit so uncomfortably ( comp. to car seating position, safety, exposure to elements... ) + get stuck in the traffic jams together with cars...??!! - If a car can be used ( 100 time more silent too ) instead 🤷♂🤷♂ Not to mention the price ! A motorbike is fun, because it CAN go places car can't. Because YOU ride/control it. Yes - the side boxes are not MUST, but 90% of these bikes' owners, drag the boxes along - everywhere, with corresponding consequences ☝☝😆
@thetubelesschannel5 күн бұрын
But even it is wide with the panniers and comfortable and high tech, its a motorcycle <3
@teneretraveller89806 күн бұрын
An incredible piece of engineering and design. But. Everything is just too much. The tech, size and mass. Including the price. I admire it, hugely. But I'd seriously rather have and travel on your old Rally Raid cb500x. Ride safe 👍
@thetubelesschannel6 күн бұрын
For many the price is just too much. And it looks like it is too much to handle. But actually a very well balanced bike. I rode its predecessor the R1250 on some very rough terrain in Spain and it almost shocked me to experience how easy it was to handle. But if you get stuck in mud alone you will struggle. It is heavy. Most ride them on tarmac and gravel roads, in high comfort. For the A2 license range the CB500X shines, yes the RR even more 🙂

If this bike had tubeless wheels ( and the company CAN provide them for same price ) it would be a more attractive option for many more, than it is today. Obviously, it is not an ENDURO bike, and no one will jump with it on sharp stones at high speeds, so all the arguments in favor of tubes - not valid in the case of this vehicle. The best about this bike is - you can fix it with a player and a screw driver ! - incl. valve adjustment.....

Test rode the new Himmy, and to be honest, I'm not sure if it's that much better. I found it quite vibey and the stock screen has no effect at all. The 411 sits comfortably at 100 to 105 kph, and is excellent value, with a rugged roadside fix ability. Better bike in my eyes. Ride safe

I’m going to Norway next year and I want to film it with a Gopro. I don’t want to have anything on my helmet only on my Bike. How have you done. And don’t the have anything like Gausthause or Pensionat like the have in Sweden and Danmark 🤔
@thetubelesschannel11 күн бұрын
Yes there is a lot of pensionats, motels and also cabins (hytter). There is many mounting options for mounting the a camera to your body or your bike. If you ride a naked bike a chestmount may be the right thing. And there is motorcycle mounting kits for GoPro to use. I now use an insta360 x4 mounted to my handlebar.

Hi, may I ask if you can still see the upper part of the lower display? Or does the lower part of the Garmin block the vision to the TFT? The adaptor seems pretty bulky...
@thetubelesschannelАй бұрын
yes I see the upper part, you may adjust the angle of the bmw cradle that was just enough for me 178 cm high and standard seat in low pos.

I am buying a 2nd hand motorcycle for the TET this week, a BMW G 310 GS or a Royal Enfield Himalayan.. I can not decide what to buy :) Thank you for the video.
@thetubelesschannelАй бұрын
The reliability of the BMW will be better, but for all other cases I would go for a Himalayan. I would not buy an older Himalayan than 2021 as the ironed out some important issues from 2021 - on.

Can the E-clutch model shift gears while using the throttle when lifting gears like a quick shifter?
@thetubelesschannelАй бұрын
It works very similar to a quick shifter, but you may also start from neutral, put in 1st and give throttle without use of the clutch. It works different from a quickshifter but feels the same when shifting gears. The shifts a very smooth.

I hear the static in your audio which I noticed on my X4 even with the built in mic. For quick recording instead of gesture/voice mode. I also enabled the QuickCapture option which makes the shutter button a power on/auto record option. The noise adaptor foam is good idea.
@Trevster652 ай бұрын
As it’s designed by Honda it will work well. Next generation quick shifter.
