Honda CB500X 2022 - Recommended Accessories

The new 2022 model arrived to my dealer today. The new model is very similar to previous models and a lot of the "old" accessories and upgrades is available for this new model. Here is my recommendations for upgrades. And some video shots with the new bike.

Michelin Road 6 Is out. Features some light improvements compared to the 5. It is a great tire if u drive a lot of thru wet roads. It is not suitable for offroad.

Thanks :-) The seat height of the new bike is the same....but upgrades to mine did it 20 mm higher. Longer travel suspension ( and ground clearance) as well.

hello! im picking up my new 2022 cb500x on saturday! ive had barkbusters before on other bikes, but was unsure if they made any to fit the new 2022 version with the bigger front brake fluid reservoir? does the 2019 ones they sell on their site fit then? many thanks! great video and keep them coming!

Thanks a lot for watching....congrats with you new bike. The BHG-081 is still listed as 2019-on...but to be 100% sure I would ask if they still fit. Yes the brake fluid reservoir is larger so it may be a problem. You may order there and ask in advance.

It is the same as 2019 model (mine) and it is very clear and easy to read.

You went back to TKC80 tires, any comments about the motoz? or Mitas tires for cbx?

The Motoz has better longevity, otherwise they perform quite similar to the TKC80, expect a bit less grip in wet conditions.The Mitas is good at gravel and asphalt but not as gooood as the other two in muddy/slippery conditions (wet grass)

Here in Thailand we have so many cheap accessories for the CB 500 X , however it seems the Motoz Tractionator GPS are not available. My 2018's 500X has now 9800 km and I think that my front tire will be replaced at 12000 km. The rear one seems still ok for 4000km. I will chose the Timsun Oasis 3 in 160/60 which has a great longevity, someone did 53000km. My best friend bought the Timsun Oasis in size 150/70 and he likes it. On the facebook group CB 500X Thailand a guy posted a nice pic with the differences between 160/60 and 150/70 tires . The total height of the 160 is 625 mm the 170 is 643mm. The circonference in 160 is 1958 mm ,the 150 is 2014 mm. The 160 makes 511 Revs/km, the 150 496 Revs/km. If you have a rear hugger you may notice the tire in 150 is really close to it. My friend says the 150/70 is better for light off road while the standard 160/60 remains the best on the asphalt. My last purchase was a belly protection for the engine which only cost me 1017 thb ( 28 euros) on Shopee. It makes a slim nice long engine guard which suits my road riding program, and can be useful when riding bad roads in Laos or Cambodia after Covid.

Hi Sven, I am just thinking about selling my CB500X 2019 and buy the Tenere700 like you did. As far as i remember you sold yours to your brother. OK then you bought the Tenere and now you bought the CB500X again. What was wrong with the Tenere700??? Pls let me know before i am buying it, since i am currently thinking about TENERE700 --- waiting for the 750 Honda Transalp -- or buying a new 2023 CB500X What would you honestly suggest, is the new CB better as the old 2019 one? and if so whats the huge difference? 🤣🤣🤣 I will not speculate on whether u have already ordered this new CB500X....., but the music, surely, tells that u are veeerrry excited about it ☝☝😆😆 In your case it's only to install slightly stronger springs - for offroading. All the rest, you have .... Well, if the spoked front wheel you have, can accommodate one more brake-disc... If not - this wheel you will also need to buy.....

Thats right Sand Waves :-) Im am excited yes, but I am not going to buy it as it is too little difference between the 2019 and the 2022. My 2019 is in very good shape and I will keep it. I would also consider very hard a green one if I should switch :-) A very difficult choice I think...

@@thetubelesschannel Green is very nice. Yes. But the display is of same type as the old ( till 2020 ) NC750... 😕 Your bike can ( if serviced correctly ) make 200000km, so it's still new + all the upgrades u've done - with better suspension...... However, nothing beats the smell of a new motorbike ( or a car ) 😁
