However Contra Costa is pronounced in Spanish, locally it isn’t pronounced the way he reads it.

plenty of things to think about in this story . something to be said about war ,disease and natural disasters .all in context though.

Good reading but the sirens and beeping in the background are annoying and sometimes drown out your voice.

For over a decade, this song was a happy little tune because it reminded me of childhood. I use to jump off a shed in one of our paddocks - something my Dad said he use to do. My dad is now gone, so is Guy Clark. My Dad and I use to play this song as a duo. What I would do to go back in time to hear him sing this with me again. Whilst this song was once a happy tune, it's now a sad reminder of a life I once had with my Dad. How am I supposed to live forever when my heroes cannot?

Love the stories & delivery, but the ambient noise makes it very hard to hear. The majority of people living to-day are of an age to have at least some hearing loss. Hope you can afford to record elsewhere. Thank you for using a microphone. Thank you for the story.

I love the series with Duncan Renaldo. He was a great Cisco, and Pancho was so funny, he had me laughing out loud all the time.I wish we had characters in today's shows who were so compassionate and wise. I watch this over and over.

This fascinating detective story is also as great as any one man theatrical performance I have ever seen. I'm reminded of Hal Holbrook's "Mark Twain Tonight" 40 years ago. Holbrook inhabited Twain's speech and mannerism so completely that part way through his performance I'd stopped witnessing an actor's impression of the great 19th century writer and began to watch Mark Twain. This skillful rendition of Hammett's short novel is complete with the 1920s era office and sound effects from San Francisco's downtown district. This is a brilliant experience.

What a great narrator; did you get your training with NBC? I've read Hammett, Chandler and Cain 10 times over, but listening to you makes a new story. Please send more, and hoping for your good health...Patricia

@@evanmercer9997 You read beautifully. I read to my wife every night, and I enjoy doing it. But your skill and fluency is far beyond mine, and your voice is splendid. I've only learned to read one word ahead, you seem to read three or four words ahead. Impressive.

Good story, but in reality science will perfect contraceptives. There won't be the enormous over population portrayed in this story; and if there is, humanity will find a way thru war and disease to turn us back into a remnant of illiterate cave dwelling savages.
