I have a question about using various vertical modes in E-Jets. As we know, there is not simulated VNAV in FSS, but we're waiting. So, How often in normal operations IRL do you change altitude in FLCH or FPA instead of VNAV mode. I like flying E-Jets very much and using the currently available mods is great fun.

I have always used Simbrief, and downloaded the FMS Plan from there when available. It has always been excellent and free. Recently it's becoming better and better.

Which do you think is better? X-craft or this FSS? I applied for few regionals and might end up flying this plane so I want to start flying it in the sim.

Best of luck! At this point of time, FSS is better. Far from perfect, but as demonstrated - you can run your Normal Procedures flows and checklists well enough. Do check out my playlists on Embraer Normal Procedures and Systems, but just as a background.

I have, and most likely will. I fired up the sim and cleared a couple of hours, thinking I'd make a quick tutorial for the community and point out the things that need to be done. I didn't expect to run into anything misprogrammed, but once I have, I pointed it out to as well, I don't edit my video so that everything is absolutely perfect, nor do I have the time to beta test features. I'm a user like most others. To question is your prerogative.

Thanks, I am very excited. Just a small suggestion. Can you please also show how you plan a engine out procedure with FMS. But very detailed and under consideration of different factors like: Prohibited areas, terrain, borders ect. Thanks!

Simple answer: I don't put anything in the FMS preemptively for an engine out scenario, typically. It is briefed amongst us pilots verbally, and I write it in short on a note that I keep visible during the departure. I might use the FIX INFO page to draw out the key makers in the Engine Failure Procedure, if it's not a simple straight out one.

Hello, I’m gonna start my type rating on the E190-195, does the procedure are still the same for the bigger brothers? I’ve seen the FCOM should be valid from the 170 to 195, is that correct? Many thanks for this videos 🙏🏻

So the lights behind the buttons on the guidance panel don't work? That has been confusing to me for so long... is that due to the sim or are they activated in real E175?

Correct. They DO NOT work. In my previous airline, at least. They CAN work but this is another airline configuration thing. My airline elected to not have them work, to force the pilots to strictly monitor the system based on the readings of the FMA in the PFD, as people should do anyway.

Thank for you´re opinion and experience with the E175. After watching this video, because I wanted to buy this addon, and then watching another YT´er do his video with the latest version. I then stubbled with the FPS E-195 (Filight Procedures Simulation) which are basically ex SSG guys (B747). While It didn´t get rave reviews on Initial release due to a lot of missing functions, and the fact that the 3D modeling Is not on par with X-Crafts stuff, the E-195 has come a long way since release, so much that I bought It today. The avionics are way ahead of what X-Carfts has, It can even auto-land, auto-throttle etc. The FPS E-195 just got It´s last update on the 1st of March which IIRC Is v1.2.4. You might want to give that a try You´re video helped me look for what Is missing and what the plane should be doing, which I find the FPS version does better and more (automation). Again, thank for you´re videos, a real pilot (type rated) opinion Is always very valued.

What flight sim is this that has VNAV? MS Flight sim 2020 and Xplane 12 ERJ170 don’t seem to have all this capability for VNAV and FMS speeds.

This was Feelthere Embraer EJets v3 on Prepar3Dv4. It's systems were quite well modeled. However, I must say that the VNAV on the X-Craft Embraer for X-Plane 12 is pretty good!

Hello, I had asked you if it is possible to show how to plan and fly an EMB-190 Lineage 1000 on a longrange Northatlantic flight. If you want suggestions regarding destinations, I would like to see a flight from KMIA to EINN or EINN to KMIA. This route was flown IRL by an european EMB-190 Lineage 1000, a few weeks ago. Thanks!

Hello Crewrest. If it is possible, can you do an Embraer flight with LOAD 25 FMS version, please? Also including how you prepare the FMS for NADP1 departure, and how you enter the windlofts forecast ect. Also how you prepare the FMS for Engine Out SID. If you will do a video, please dont skip details and infos. Please give as much detailed infos as possible. Another request would be also how you would find the VSpeeds and Landing Speeds, Approach Speeds via tables. Not EFB. Regarding NADP1 there are many options. In europe there are many options, like: LEBL LSZH LGAV EDDW And many more. I really would like to see another Embraer Video. Thanks and greetings

@@crew-rest I am very excited for new Embraer Videos from you. Like I mentioned it would be nice to see how you do flightplanning with Lineage 1000. May be also how to do calculations for ETOPS in case for long range flights. If I am not wrong the Lineage 1000 can fly up to 4200NM. Also it would be nice how you do Plannings with the FMS in case of an engine failure. For example most airports say that you have to fly runway heading and hold at 25NM from the airport. How would you program that and how would you program complex Engine Out procedures? P.S. Are you not afraid to forget many things from the Embraer while you are flying the 737, now?

I mean the RAAS callouts. Like I wrote, I dont mean the Honeywell version. I mean the new version which are probably from THALES.

It is, especially if you take a little time to get familiar (through tutorials and documentation), then it's a highly automated airplane.

Great, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Obviously it's much easier for me to immediately spot and fixate on the things that are not accurate, but it is a fun airplane and a highly functional addon.
