I've been simulating in a serious way since about 7 - 8 years ago. I tried building up experience back in FSX, P3D, XP11/12 and then MSFS. The last two sims are the ones I mainly use. Tho, MSFS just a bit more for its visuals, which makes it excellent for VFR. I promised myself to keep this as a hobby, but to exercise my flights as realistic as possible. I hope one day I still might become a pilot as airlines start to introduce MPL programs here. Unfortunately, the Financial side of it makes it a lot more difficult to actually get in. I feel like if you didn't get the proper financial backing or luck, it seems harder to get in. Luckily, I've heard there are even new pilots who join at their end 30s or even mid 40s, so I should have still some time to perhaps make it work. I'm a bit curious towards how you got into it, would it be possible to share? And also, did flight sim help you in any way providing a good understanding of basic principles of flight, which would aide you in the theoretical part of flight school? Maths isn't my strongest part, neither is physics, which kinda makes me a bit scared.

I feel your frustration, and my response is - find a way that would work, build a plan, and go for it. It took me a number of years to work on my way to pay for flight school, and kept working as I went. Including finding creative ways to save money and to make flight school work with your situation. If your home country doesn't give you the options, you need to come into peace with moving to another country where there is a possible path for you. Flight simming has helped me become much more comfortable with the material ahead of actually stepping in flight school and saving money. And like I said in the video - it's a great tool, when you know how to properly utilize it, while respecting it's limitations.

@@crew-rest I respect that. I thank you a lot for your content, the simulator for me makes a lot possible. I appreciate your attitude towards a sim being a useful tool with its limitations indeed. And I appreciate your work ethic which made you able to do what you love now! Thanks a lot for your valueable insights!
