I've found that EZ bass doesn't keep up with a lot of my notes from the guitar. As a result I just plug a bass in and record it manually. Has anyone else had this problem?

Really interested in this one, looking at the spec sheet for the HP out (<1Ohm impedance, decent power and -94dB THD) it appeara to be stellar, just wanted to ask what you think of the sound from HPs. Much appreciated!

“ not mobile”, “ you have to plug it in” what ? Waaaaa. It’s mobile and do you not have outlets in your house ? The audience is not going to happy seeing you play thru a Spark ? WTH. Only 1 out of 200, is geeky enough to care. Ridiculous, not realistic at all.

I am thinking about moving to the mac os and I know the headache that my lie before me in converting window cakewalk files to a mac and using studio one. I am looking for advice on the process to get this done.

Hi. thank you for the video. I have one question: have you tried to plug electric guitar or bass to 3 or 4 inputs on the back? Can these inputs be use to record guitar or bass and (I guess using the trim knob in control centre) achieve some usable input gain level for these passive instruments? This is very important info to me. Thanks in advance. Btw: on other videos about this unit I have seen that switching 48v in the control centre result in changing the light on the interface so it was synced perfectly.

6:02 Yeah, profits over art… and everything else, the American way. Buy the newest shit cause the fully functioning, totally capable device you have currently will simply become a paperweight arbitrarily. Screw the people who invest in you by purchasing, we have real stockholders to take care of. You can’t drum… live? I’m trying to figure this out, but I’m entirely uninterested in recording. The midi keyboard and guitar work great but the drums I have (dirty drums from Amazon, so not sure if it’ll work at all) are recognized as a keyboard, I get no action in the drum pads or kits.

I don’t understand why you need so many amps? You have the spark 40. If you want more umph, buy the cabinet. If you want to swap the 40 with the live, there’s this thing called second hand market, and guitar amps retain a great value and are easily sold. This was a 20 minute rant about literally nothing.
@DarkRoastRecording
@DarkRoastRecording Ай бұрын
Oh boy…The point is that I DONT want more amps. I want one that I can use for everything including practicing, jamming, recording and performing live as a 2 piece and/or solo. I’m well aware of second hand market. The vid isn’t a rant, far from it. It provides a point of view and an alternative to boost sales, customer experience and overall satisfaction. Sorry you were having a bad day.

@@DarkRoastRecording I was having a great day, I had time and patience to watch a 20 minute video. I wasn’t even trying to be too snarky or sarcastic. You don’t have to be that rude about some criticism to your video. And again, I still don’t understand why the spark 40 for practice and the cabinet for live events aren’t a good option for your use case. If you feel like you have too much PG gear, just sell the things you don’t need and buy what you want (that’s a DIY trade in program for you). Have a great day

I've had some sort of issue with both PG products that I had. Initially I bought a Bias FX2. It sounded great, but it's one of the heaviest plugins that I had on my Mac. And they failed to deliver an Apple Silicon update for sooooo long that I've just stopped using it. Some time later I also bought Spark 40, but my main problem with it is that it's too dependant on the app. I've purchased it along with promoted footstep, and as I found out - this footswitch does not work unless you have an app open (plus, app has to be in the foreground on your phone). I thought that for the "plug-n-play" amp there's too many extra steps, and that more features could be either accessible without app, or via physical controls on the amp. This stuff should streamline your practice, not complicate it. I've returned to practicing via Boss Waza Air, since it's much more comfortable unit and allows you to play literally anywhere.

Spark is great for practicing in a pinch. I bought a Mini for my son to learn to play on and one for myself. Once I got into Fractal products the Spark lost its usefulness to me. Fractal modeling is better and I can plug it into the USB on my computer and use it as an audio interface. Put a pair of headphones on and jam out at any time without disturbing anyone in the house. Then take it with me to play live and plug it into the PA system. Could easily add a mixer and couple cheap speakers to play small venues that don’t have their own PA system.

respectfully, this inst a 'rant' video. I love my Spark 40 and my Mini. But I have a lot of use cases that the Live now resolves. I play live as a solo artist, in a small group with 2 others, record guitars, practice at home and jamm space. Id like to get the Live and lose the Spark 40. Thought I made that clear in the vid, but maybe not. Thanks for watching the vid and sorry you got the impression im trying to justify anything, I know what I want, is it wrong to make the best of my needs with hardware that resolves my probl;ems? I dont think so.

Had a Spark mini for a while now. Bought the Spark Cab a few weeks back. Its to be a little louder but really a little more full sound but also its the bridge to move away from Spark as its a FRFR powered cab. Im 6 months away from feeling I have advanced enough to start moving off the Spark platform and will likely move to IK Tonex / Amplitude ecosystem which will work great with the powered Spark Cab. So the Cab works well for me now with the Spark eco system and will work for me once I migrate off the Spark ecosystem.

Get it about PG taking the marketing line that of a tech company. However, for what you get, it's an incredible value. As far as the Go, goes, what it's really good for is running the system using headphones, all for the price of a regular bt speaker. The 40, simply too big to run off a battery, or it'd weight and cost double. The mini, perfect in-between. For me, it's a great way to try out different tones without having to buy 50 amps and pedals to figure out what I like. Because of the spark, I settled on getting into a 5F1 circuit and klon clone for my first full tube setup, and going from there, but still love the spark for trying new things. As far as "practice amps", 5 watts of tube is almost as cheap these days.

99,999 are copies from each other. These copies are, as everybody know, classified into genres. Genre = it classifies the copies into different styles and labels to make it look like it is not a copy. BTW, the other song, the 1 left, is not a hit song, but it is original. The problem with this 1 song is that it didn't get discovered.

I’m just new to all this and right now I have a positive grid spark 40 which I am thinking about returning to get the GTX 50 I just want to be able to get the sounds from either or into GarageBand without latency , and I can’t do that with the Spark 40

Sorry dude, been a busy year. I don’t have any XP with the gtx 50, but yes the Sparks have crummy built in interfaces. I would use your other interface, and connect the audio output of the spark 40 into the interface to record the sounds, it should work with little latency.

@@DarkRoastRecording yeah I just watched another video of a guy doing that very same thing but he said he had to buy a splitter cable and plug the guitar into both inputs on the interface. Let me grab the link real quick so you can check it out fast-forward about halfway through the video. What I’m wondering is if that’s just like programs specific. He said without the splitter ran from the Spark headphones/line out to both inputs on the interface. It sounded like shit inside logic Pro. I’m curious to know if it’s just program specific as far as that is concerned . I just wanted to be able to get all of those different guitar sounds available on the Spark app into whichever program. I’m going to use. Just for demo purposes I’ll probably use GarageBand and record the guitars as a clean vocal or something.

Decent video. But I literally don't see the point of so many of these videos if NOONE actually addresses the CHOKE function issues and the Hi hat calibration. In the process of giving up with Kontakt Libraries because so many keep posting EDRUM kit tutorials without even talking about the fact that for so many drum modules you need to either give up on proper chokes because aftertouch does not have implementation in there DRUM libraries. A rare one that does being Krimh and even then the 'trial' or free demo the Velocity curves and Ekit functionality are locked behind a paywall so you cant even test if they'll be adequate. I've been at this for days now, libraries, trials, emailing support to the point where I might as well have paid out for Superior Drummer straight up. Sorry you just caught frustration boiling point.
