Great video. Now let’s hope for a proper drum software like Addictive Drums coming to IPad OS ever.

my question for this video is Could I use Superior drummer 3 program with the iPad ? or only the sounds of logic for the drums ?

Logic pro actually has a low lateny mode setting hidden in the settings for plugged in instruments. Have you tried it?

I downloaded Logic Pro for iPad Pro and I’m trying to use it for live recording of band rehearsals and songwriting sessions. I’ve been trying to figure it all out ( I’m new to all of this and I’m old). At least this will help me link up to my ekit (older TD50). I know you can record up to 10 tracks simultaneously via usb but haven’t figured out how to link individual tracks yet.

When you say 'link', do you mean group together? like several drum tracks in a Drum Group? support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/logicpro-ipad/lpip5041c104/ipados

Thanks man! -- Say, can you tell me how you change a single, particular drum sound? (Like a snare or bass drum only)

Cool! How did you monitor the recording? Did you use a floor monitor on the V-drums, or did you monitor Logic?

Which USB-C Hub Adapter are you using - I’ve had few over the years, but they all eventually just give up and stop working…

I've got the same setup as you, but for some reason, when I hit two pads at once only one of them sounds. Did you have to do any other settings to get the Maudio midi sport uno to send two notes at a time?

not sure why that may be, when I hit 2 drums at once, I get both signals. or maybe Im just not any good at hitting them exactly at the same time

Thank you for this! Would this work on garage band too?
@DarkRoastRecording
@DarkRoastRecording 5 ай бұрын
It should yes, just know that in garagebend there is no way to change the drum midi notes in GB since they use Standard Midi Drum config (General Midi). but hopefully which ever drum module you have, you can change the midi Note in the module to match what GB uses. most likely it will work without any changes required.

Got it. Thank you, I’ll let you know how it goes. I recently bought a Roland TD02K kit and I’ve got an iPad 10th gen with me. Happy to see tutorials that demonstrate how to work with USB C iPads!

How do you put each drum on its own track?

Separating Drum Machine Tracks: Method 1: Using MIDI Events Select the MIDI region on the drum track. Go to Edit > Separate MIDI Events > By Note Pitch. This action creates multiple tracks, with each track corresponding to an individual drum kit piece (e.g., kick, snare, hi-hat). Note that all created tracks are still assigned the same instrument channel strip2. Method 2: Drum Machine Designer If you’re using Drum Machine Designer, follow these steps: Tap the main track MIDI region. Tap Convert, then select Separate by Note Pitch. This action creates individual regions on each subtrack, allowing you to handle and edit them like any other MIDI region3. Method 3: Producer Kits and Multi-Output Instruments Split up Drummer/Drum Kit Designer tracks into individual tracks using Producer Kits. For third-party plug-ins and Logic’s own instrument plug-ins, utilize Multi-Output Instruments. You can also split up Pattern Regions on Drum Machine Designer tracks to their specific track lanes4.
