Very useful video, thank you very much! One simple (maybe stupid) question, if I may... Audio is only coming out from the phones output of the GOGuitarPRO? Or I can use the phone directly for audio? That would be fantastic as I have bluetooth phones connected to my phone, so wireless audio! Thanks..
@DarkRoastRecording Жыл бұрын
Not a stupid question at all and thx for watching. Once the GoGuitar, (or any other audio deivce for that matter) is plugged into the ipad/iPhone, the audio Core drivers in iOS will be in use by that device, therefore you cant run wireless audio AND have audio out of the GoGuitar at the same time because the audio driver is in use by the GoGuitar already. I hope that answers it for you!

@DarkRoastRecording Жыл бұрын
Hello Liseth, thanks for watching and subscribing! Can you tell me what you are recording into? Garageband? Logic, any other app? Also, to hear what you are playing while recording, you need to have the side switch on "FX", headphones in the headphone output jack on the GoGuitar and ensure you have monitoring enabled within the recording software.

Can you hear the guitar sound with the effects from the app through the headphones?
@DarkRoastRecording2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can if you toggle the switch on the side of the Go Guitar Pro or the iRig HD 2 to "FX" instead of "thru". FX takes the processed signal from the app, Thru send the direct signal from the guitar unprocessed.

Hiw fragile is the usb port on the interface? I had an interface with this physical connection and it broke very quickly.
@DarkRoastRecording Жыл бұрын
Sorry that happened to you. I havent heard of that or experienced myself (yet). Were you able to get it replaced under warranty?
@erifkind Жыл бұрын
@@DarkRoastRecording ah, it was too cheap to worry about. I actually got a second one and eventually broke it the same way. It’s not for people that move cables around a lot. The odds are you will accidentally bend it at some point. The leverage is working against the structure of the USB port itself. Basically you just have to be very ginger with the cable connection.

Hi, I was given TC HELICON GO Solo as a gift, I'm trying it but I realized that by connecting it to both an android mobile phone and a computer with windows 10, I don't have headphones monitoring by connecting it to the device (I don't hear my voice live, but only the backing track). Using an application like SMULE and inserting the headset into the mobile phone, I hear my voice but with latency, while on the computer, using AUDACITY, my voice is not heard at all. Can I have some suggestions?
@DarkRoastRecording2 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough one, ideally you would use them tc helicon as a mobile interface and then just a usb interface for vocals and guitars to the computer. They have different purposes and combining them will not give the results you seek. If your going to be recording on your computer more than your phone, i would get a starter usb interface like the scarlett solo or behringer umc2.

Great video .. I was looking for a interface other then Irig hd2 because my cable has become so loose from using it ..😩..! Also why don’t they make a way to power it when your use it.. other then Ibridge I have to rely on the battery on your iPad or your phone past 4 1/2 five hours you’re dead.. I play festivals or eight hours so I have to use two iPads.. I’m also using bias Fx Guitar App .. Thanks again Chaz

I hear ya, I would get an Apple USB adapter with the lightning charge port, then you can charge your iPad while using the iRig HD2 all day long.
@dystortia6626 Жыл бұрын
I have this same problem. Thought about trying some double lightning adapter but there isn't anything like that. I think 2 ipads is the only way to go unless you use a laptop and plug it in

Also the usb socket on the irig is terrible. I'd say they need to upgrade it to a c type but they're terrible aswell. I'm about to purchase the irig pro as that has no shitty micro usb socket but im still left with the battery problem when using ipad

What is the difference between the Pro and the regular TC Helicon Go Guitar?
@JayTheLane2 жыл бұрын
The Pro is a USB interface which has 24 bit at 48khz analog to digital converter. It's all digital. The basic Go Guitar is essentially analog via the headphone input only. I had the basic model but it was very noisy and I sent it back. The Pro has way less noise and is on a par with IK Multimedia's iRig HD 2. To unlock all the effects go into settings and turn on debug mode.

So is this really a irig hd2 killer??
@DarkRoastRecording Жыл бұрын
Depends on the features you're after. The free guitar Rack app is fully featured and free, while Amplitube costs money to unlock any worthy tones. Other than that they are identical.

it won't send mic and guitar. For that you would need a 2 channel interface like a focus rite 2i2, solo, or a Behringer UMC2

Thanks for your presentation. I am a beginner, I am glad that you like Deplike. Will it work with backing tracks function? I came across some troubles in using OTG plus sound card option as said by other KZbinr. Listening to backing tracks in practising my guitar is far more important that connecting to recording or special effect function. Thank you.
@DarkRoastRecording2 жыл бұрын
to be honest, I use backing tracks on a different device, but yes the backing tracks works great, you just select the song you have saved on your device (can't be Spotify or KZbin streaming) and adjust the volume of you or the song to blend to your liking.
