I saw star wars in the theater in August of 1978 a year after it had been released. I waited in line around the block with 300+ people to see it. I was amazed.

It takes a certain breed of humans to watch this movie more than once , it’s glimpse into what the future could very soon be like and it’s a great movie.

Nice documentary. Would have been good to mention James Cromwell, the only central character nobody comments on but who is so good in the movie. RIP Curtis Hansen.

This is such a great film. It was robbed at the Oscars. I've watched it dozens of times and I never get tired of it. I notice new things every time I watch.

All the commentators are communists, so they would be the first to , one: disarm you. Two: endorse genocide, through abortion, and three, to start a war, as they've encouraged for years. Prove us wrong.

Dr. Strangelove is the most important movie ever, and even if it wasn't, it would be my favorite movie. The importance is that Kubrick, by creating this film, opened the eyes of so many people, including policymakers, to the absurdity of resorting to nuclear weapons. I hope people keep watching it. There are a lot of bombs out there.

Hell, that was the joy, of living under the threat, of nuclear death! You never took a moment for granted! And we should continue the thinking. Our " shelf life ", be damned! Live like there's no tomorrow!

Did they have to put Mac, and spick, in the rarratives? For one, they are both socialists, and two, they cause way more harm, than they're worth.

Let us not forget, Macnamara, sent men to Viet Nam, that were, indeed, "cannon fodder", the " IQ" levels of idiots, that didn't know their left, from their right! They were generally placed in front, as point men, only to be murdered by the Cong. He's got a lot of room to talk. Research Macnamara's men. Very enlightening.

Hello if you want to see the original trilogy you must know Georges Lucas completely destroyed the original movie version so it's literally impossible to find. But thanks to really dedicated fans, the original trilogy has been rebuilt and you can see it almost like it was then on this youtube video you have all the explanations and the download links : Harmy's Star Wars: Despecialized Edition v2.5 - Video Sources Documentary (short version)

I'm good. I'll respect George's artistic right to do what he wants with *his* films and understand the story he wants to tell how he intends me to see it. I have no interest in supporting vandalism.
@jeanfabien882 ай бұрын
@@zoetropeguardian The points of the despecialized edition is litteraly to see the movies how they were intended... The vandalism is what Georges did. The fan who did that litteraly just restored the original version of the trilogy. The version that was projected in movie theather back then.
@zoetropeguardian2 ай бұрын
@@jeanfabien88 Did they have George's permission? They didn't. He's the creator and artist whose vision Star Wars is. It doesn't belong to the fans and never will. George also changed the Prequels. Where is your outrage about the changes made to them? He can do with his films. Fans and corporations can't.
