I have made this before with a singe rod pocket. Can I do the same thing sieth a Continental 2 1/2 inch curtain rod. My window rod measure 40". I want a nice finished product. Something manly not so cutesy? Open for suggestions. Great way to make a Valance! Saves from having to do so much hemming. Thanks for sharing!

Why did you pin the pattern so spread out?
@TheBrokenNeedle
@TheBrokenNeedle 2 ай бұрын
You can pin as much as you want. I didn't need to.
@iloveharrold
@iloveharrold 2 ай бұрын
@ Sorry, I wasn’t clear enough . You could have placed the pattern pieces much closer together, saving fabric. Was there a why you didn’t do that? No criticism intended.
@TheBrokenNeedle
@TheBrokenNeedle 2 ай бұрын
You can pin them closer together if you prefer. It’s only 1/2 yard of fabric. There will be unusable waste no matter how close you place them.

Hi, you know how you added the little extra piece of white so it would look like the window. Well under the frame (the piece in the middle) just on the left side, shouldn't a little piece of black be out there so it looks like a shadow creating more of a window look?
@TheBrokenNeedle

Hello, very nice quilt and video. One thing, I'm not trying to criticize at all and maybe I'm wrong, but under the first row shouldn't there be a little bit of black on the left for the shadow? Like when you added the piece of white to get the window effect. Great video,

How do you determine the math for how much to remove? For example, if I wanted my window frame to finish at 2” would I still need to remove .5” from all intersecting points or take out more? I love quilting but the math kills me, lol. Thanks!
