Oh shit. Barnes? We should ride together out at Walker this winter in the suck. I was looking to see if I really needed the ERM for my 25 xcw and came across your channel. Also, you're right about the VE33s. Crazy life and works in almost everything. Ever consider going back road racing?

I have question how do you feel your rear brake with boots for example for me i can hold balance point with shoes because i can feel the rear brake but when i put on my boots i cant feel my rear brake and i can't properly move my foot
@WASemiHardEnduro16 күн бұрын
I thought that when I first tried tried moto boots, but you quickly get used to them. It helps to get good quality boots with stitched soles like Sidi or Gaerne. Avoid the molded plastic soles like A* or other cheap boots. Also never ride with shoes. Just always use boots and you’ll get used to it.
@nelsonadrianrivera709616 күн бұрын
@WASemiHardEnduro ok I will try that but I also have another question for your brake pedal position for example for me I can use rear brake when standing up but can't when sitting down because my foot naturally goes forward how do you deal with this problem and also I know you can lower your brake pedal but then you can't reach it when standing up

@WA semi-hard enduro Wow great video! Thanks so much for the great comparisons! I'm surprised you're running at 2 psi, I've never dared go that low with my tubliss.(tested about 5 psi) Have you ever tested the standard IRC ve33 (not S)? I'm looking to mount a 100 tire for driving in similar conditions (wet roots and wet terrain in the Alps).
@WASemiHardEnduro20 күн бұрын
I have not run the non-S version of the VE33, but a friend has. He definitely struggled a bit more on wet roots and rocks with that tire, but it had good longevity.

@WASemiHardEnduro I've seen some of your videos, you've got some great riding skills. It's inspiring, and I definitely need to test the 2 psi. Many of my trails are similar to yours with steep slopes with wet roots and some stones at low speeds.

Can’t go wrong with the VE33S, but I’m also liking the Plews Spec-B. It has taller knobs than typical FIM tires so it does well in the soft stuff, but still has the larger carcass, so it does great in the rocks.

How would you compare the TE300 vs TX300i TPI, regarding throttle response (bottom end, midrange), gearing (does the wide ratio stop you from riding a gear high as one would normally do with the TX/XC ratio) and suspension (especially for slow to med speed chunk)?
@WASemiHardEnduroАй бұрын
I had the 21 TX300i (TPI) and now the 24 TE300 (TBI). They are more similar than they are different. The new unified gear ratios are actually quite good, and I don’t miss the old TX/XC gearing. The old XCW gearing I didn’t like though - too gappy. Bottom end and midrange are pretty similar, really. The TBI has better stall resistance, but runs pretty rich stock. Suspension is definitely better on the new bikes. But I had my 21’s suspension set pretty soft and despite being an AER from it actually felt pretty good. New CC fork is quite a bit better though.

Hi, I'm considering the M5B for a trail bike, I am gonna use it on a trip, it's gonna be like 1250 miles (25% off-road and 75% mountain roads), and late on the same trip it's 900 miles on the sand and dry dirt roads, what do you think? To crazy? The bike is 150 kg and the bags, equipment, and pilot are about 120 kg = 220kg.
@WASemiHardEnduro2 ай бұрын
I think you’re gunna need a new tire halfway through! I know people that have run the M5B on Baja trips with great results, but it’s at the end of its usable life by the end. And that’s less than 1250 miles.

And dirt wheels, gearing and the downloadable Graham Jarvis map for out bush in Vic in winter. I already know after riding it in both maps on motards its going to have heaps smoother bottom end power, similar mid range power to stock, but then another bunch of power up top. And i have the option to soften the maps a bit more if its to punchy. i bought the ERM module coz im a nerd but you really do not need it if u just want a great running bike with a soft and hard enduro map then just pay some postage and not 600AUD for something u wont really need after it tuned
