Hi Gary sorry late to the game but I was wondering why you give them a rate upfront, instead asking for the budget.
@GaryHughesOfficial15 сағат бұрын
Great question. Because they will hardly ever tell you. Either the person getting quotes doesn't know it, or they don't give it out in advance so that they can get a sense of the actual market price.

@@GaryHughesOfficial Good points, Because I've ask my wedding clients for the price range they are looking to stay with in , even though I say " I can work within the budget" I still get ghosted which is confusing and Heartbreaking. Thanks again.

Dodge/Ram once bought a rodeo photo of mine for the princely sum of $5,000. They blew it up to about 4' x 8' for a traveling display. It looked great from the appropriate viewing distance of about 8 feet. My Nikon D300 produced images of max 12.3 MP. The megapixel race is a marketing boon for camera makers, but it's kinda pointless for most photographers, especially amateurs whose enlargements will never surpass 14" x 20". My 2¢, and worth every penny!

Confused... F8 is Not brighter than F5.6
@GaryHughesOfficial20 күн бұрын
@@rickbcastillo7879 if you are thinking of your aperture setting in camera, sure. Setting your camera at F8 will result in a darker image than F5.6. But think about it in terms of power output. If you are using a light meter to measure the light from a strobe, a light putting out light metering at F8 is putting out twice the power of a light whose output meters at F5.6.

It's a shame so few cameras have more mp than 24. It really depends on what you are gonna shoot. For landscape photographers 24mp is probably not enough, at least for a full frame camera.

I don’t shoot many head shots, I mostly shoot weddings, corporate events, and families. BUT, …….. when I do a head shot I use either my (Nikon d850 shooter) 85 f1.4, 135 f2 DC, or 70-200 f2.8. I have a few head shots coming up soon and I’m thinking 70-200 because of its sharpness and focal length options.
