As a fisherman myself who knows what it is to have slow days, and really bad days, I would rather see the uncut videos because it shows the reality of fishing. You are one of the few KZbinrs who admits even in your edited videos that we don’t see the amount of actual time between bites, and it looks like the bites are coming hand over fist. Keep on keeping it real, and I really like your blunt honesty.

My wife and i love watching your videos and since we started watching we love the uncut videos, you asked about fishing alone and fishing with someone, I like both honestly , but fishing with someone reminds me of fishing with my brother in law and how much I pick on him for his “fishing skills”😂 so changing it up sometimes seems like a good idea

Great video, awesome pb piebald. He was a beautiful fish. I don't think it would matter if you caught one fish or ten fish. You're going to get us watching because it's real-life fishing. I watched this one traveling through Colorado. You know I watch and rewatch then all while out on the road. I laughed so hard at Daniel's optimistic outlook that I about wrecked the truck, lol. I guess that's the difference in us older Gen Xers and the younger ones or the older Millennial lol. He sounds like my daughter lol I love it when Daniel joins you on your trips. I think he should be on more often. That trip to Florida could be a write-off for a business trip for you. Have a blessed night Justin.

Got back from 10 days down in Marathon. The wind was crazy the whole trip. Did manage a few smaller sharks and one big one. An 8ft nurse shark over 200 pounds on a 30lb rig. Was a battle. We had a 23ft offshore boat and it was still rough on the outer patch reefs. Little calmer around the bridges but the current was ripping at certain times.

Motorguide trolling motor grease leak looks like what happens when fishing line gets wrapped around the prop shaft and works into the seal. Can happen with any brand. I take my prop off after every couple of trips, you would be amazed at the amount of line you pick up from other fisherman. Especially braid, which my understanding is even rougher on the prop seals.

@KayakCatfish if you fish here in bama. I am on Pickwick/Wilson myself. All of our creeks are covered in Drums, I would stay on the bluff walls, on Wilson its deep so middle channel if not to windy or on ledges and creek mouths be best. On Pickwick, 7 Mile Island "Coffee Slough" and or up towards the Pickwick dam, but its been heavy current!

Superior frisbee throwing skills 😂😂. Funny you say that about ticks….. I went fishing and it was 38 degrees and had flies landing near my shrimp bag. I found salty shrimp is the prime rib of catfish bait up here in my area of Connecticut. FYI…. I changed my name from DanCacachi to retired cop. People apparently googled that name and attacked me saying I was not a cop. However, my first name is Dan but I’m not that dumb to put my full real name on here. Now I see what you mean about comments….

TLDR lol... In the dial up day a 56kb modem would connect about 32 to 46 kb if it was a clean connect. Downloading a mp3 average 4 mb maybe 5 would transfer about 3.3 KB and take easy 15 minutes up to 30...DSL high bandwidth was 1.5 mb and transfer rate would max about 180KB. Cable started around a 20mb and got to gig speeds today but fiber is by far superior and I have a 250mb down/125mb up and it's barely any max potential. I can download 45 gig in less than half an hour. That's over 46,000 mb. Now my 4k can record and take up that much space in a couple minutes. Long story but I'm so glad ur doing everything you can to record in the best quality because the production value of your area is phenomenal. It's why we keep coming to fish there instead of the west TN or MS. Steam plants and foggy hills oh my😊

When using your current camera- you should be able to load it up to video software (I use Corel) and it will do a 'frame for frame' of your video so you can pull a photo from your video. I am a photographer and use that software pretty heavy on a regular basis. Just thought I'd share. Love these videos, btw!! My best to you and Daniel! Also, I noticed while you were flippn Daniel grief about his rough start you failed to mention the two times you launched and didn't have your kayak secured....it left without you!!! 🤣🤣. I watched them all, I work by myself all day so I throw on a video of yours and like you said it's mostly background noise for me i am mainly listening, but when you catch a fish I pay more visual attention, and with these longer videos it can fill in a good portion of the day, I relate to a lot of your views other than fishing plus I love catfishing myself so keep doing what you do and I'll keep watching. Also does it affect your views or does it show different if we don't watch all the way through in 1 viewing and we break it up into different sittings?

I didn’t use Navionics in this creek since it was so small but I normally would in most situations. I look for contour changes and rapid changes in depth mostly

Poor Daniel. He's only off by one generation. The current kids will watch everything collapse and then they will go back to surviving, i.e. their great grandparents. But this is the why catfishing may save the world! Wisdom on the Water.

Look at a salt block in a field for cows and horse they last a long long time in the rain and the snow not to mention the cows and horse licking on it.

When you're anchored up like that doesn't your kayak sway in the current and wind? And doesn't that create some slack in your lines? Does that matter or is the slack in the line just fine?
@KayakCatfish
@KayakCatfish 3 ай бұрын
It definitely can especially if there is a cross wind or faster flow. The slower current speeds and calm days isn’t much of a problem though. I used to carry a drift sock to help keep the kayak still in those situations

Is there any catch fish in south Florida that you can catch? Or ever caught?
@KayakCatfish

Florida has some blues and flatheads on the northern panhandle. Just channel cats in the lakes further south though

My first viewing session lasted 45 minutes. I'm definitely looking forward to watching more. I appreciate eavesdropping on your friendly banter and more meaningful conversation with Daniel. Thank Daniel for tolerating you with such gracious humor. :)
