Can herpes only be detected if you have an active outbreak? I’m pretty sure I got a blood test for it a few decades ago cuz a guy I was seeing said his previous partner got it. He said he hadn’t had any symptoms but his test came back positive. Mine was negative. I was convinced at the time that he’d gotten a false positive since he continued to have no symptoms for another few months at least. I don’t know after that cuz we stopped seeing each other. So why wouldn’t the this role play doc exclude herpes from the battery of tests, if it can be tested for with a blood sample? Seems like it would help to know if you were a carrier!
