Omg same... I'm a huge fan of crinkle paper sounds anyway. The ultrasound sounds were divine... sooo many tingles.

I am crying. Everything mentioned in the intake is me. I was brushed off by my regular GYN for months. I went to see a fertility specialist this week and within one appointment, he diagnosed early PCOS and possible endometriosis. Thank you for doing videos like this for awareness and visibility. 🫶🏼

ah.. the first part was so similar to what ive experienced last week. after almost 4 years, i finally went to see the doctor over my irregular periods. actually its not just irregular, i havent been getting my period since 2021. i first got my period when i was 7 btw 😓 im 24 now. my first appointment with gynecologist at the hospital will be on january 2025, which is so far from now. im scared of what it couldve been. hopefully its just because of me being obese (not like its any good) but i hope its not cyst or any other thing that is life threatening or preventing me from having a baby in the future…. 😫😫

a cyst alone wouldn't necessarily cause irregular periods, and cysts are often not life threatening (some aren't even painful). with pcos, it's more likely a hormonal imbalance which can be treated! i started having my period at 11 or 12 and was diagnosed not too long after. typically pcos is treated with birth control (because it's hormonal) and/or diet medication/diet modifications (at least in the us but i think other countries mostly use the same procedures). but even if you can't change your diet, the medication alone can cause a period to come back. i wish you all the best. hopefully you have a good, attentive obgyn who will take your concerns seriously. they'll likely take blood to check hormone levels and other indicators of pcos. they may do ultrasounds, not just of your reproductive system but sometimes they check for fatty liver because that can be a sign of pcos as well. if you want to lose weight (no judgment if you don't), treating the pcos can actually help sometimes. hormonal imbalance can make it very hard to lose weight. i've tried so so much, but insulin resistance is :/ as for fertility, pcos can make it harder to conceive for SOME people, but there's all kinds of options. try not to worry about the future stuff, because who knows what you'll find out? everyone's body is different, and after years of struggling with chronic illness, i've learned that it's best not to worry myself when i don't know what it is i'm even facing yet. (i know it's so much easier said than done.) if you have a bad experience with this obgyn, please seek a second opinion! just because one doctor from one specialty tells you something, it doesn't mean they're right. my old obgyn tried to force me to get an iud as a virgin and i was very afraid of this. i got a new one, and not only would she NOT do that, she was baffled he would even try that (let alone try to force me). that's a more extreme example obviously, but all of this to say, don't let anyone bulldoze over you. you're entitled to comfortable and competent healthcare.

Very much! I have PCOS and am hormonal meds to help keep my lining safe. The stats are around 3% of the general population has the risk of developing endometrial cancer, while PCOS patients can be about 9% liftime risk. 3x the risk :(
