Thanks so much for this video. My 11 yr old son and I are riding this route next May (although taking a day or two longer than you) We’re staying at the same campsite in Dangu as you did. Really helpful to get this overview and reassures me that it’s suitable for my son

I agree! Fighting with the algorithm a bit, still can’t make sense of it. Probably an age thing 😉 Thanks for the kind comment, some good films in the pipeline-just waiting for better weather. Cheers

Nice video ! I do it usually in the opposite way as you (counterclockwise) but I want to try also to take it your way (clockwise). Best time here with a friend November 2022 3h55 for GB ! I really like this exercise and I think I can get under 3h30 it should be a real challenge. Don't make this circuit too famous 🤫 it's a secret Have fun in the forest !

Looks like a great trip! There’s always one puncture ;) I did a ‘bike packing’ trip once from Worcester to Hereford with two friends and thoroughly enjoyed it although we weren’t going nearly as fast and light as you guys, we had two large panniers each !

Truleigh Hill YHA is great. I stayed there in the hostel last year, and went back this year and stayed in their camping field. The food and the bar there are a really good bonus.

I dont know if you can advise , I’m planning to do this route with my 13 year old daughter , we eventually want to end up at Disney , I’m a bit worried firstly going from Paris to Disney and then From Disney I was hoping to get Train from Chessy Disney back to Dieppe , I’ve tried to book will not allow , unless bike is dismantled, do you think this is because it’s Eurostar ? Did you have to dismantle bike ? Could you recommend a quiet route from Paris to Disney , my daughter very nervous roads got hit when she was 8 . Any assistance and local knowledge greatly appreciated, the train is crucial for us , thanks in anticipation, your video was our inspiration for this adventure David @@bouldersandbikes1

Hi David, I would probably suggest following the cycle route until a place called St Germain en Laye, on the route but importantly on the train line into Paris. The RER A line goes from St Germain all the way to Disney, although you might need to change in Paris. This would avoid central Paris, but is close enough that you can say you have done it! RER lines and TER lines do not require to dismantle your bike, but avoid rush hour as you will be very unpopular 😉 Any TGV or Eurostar will need a dismantling and probably bagging of your bikes. You can go from Paris to Dieppe on TER trains, no problem - they go from St Lazare. Hope that helps. Have a great trip

This boulder still looks wet. Don't climb wet boulders in font, especially if you care about the history of font and of bouldering because if you end up snapping off a hold, that history is gone forever.

Despite how it might look on the film - it was a cloudy day - the boulder wasn’t wet. The fissure would be pretty much impossible if damp!

I wonder if it's the kind of climb that might actually be easier if you used big boots that could be jammed in that crack. I definitely remember some grit problems like that.

My wife and I started following a random orange circuit at 95.2 and it just kept going and going. Probably turned around to go home after 5 kilometers or so. No clue how far it really went but it certainly took us to some places we would've never gone without it's directions. What a magical place.
