I bought wooden shoe trees from Nordstrom Rack back in the 2000s whenever I bought a new pair of shoes. They were only $12.99 each pair. Trees are expensive now. Im glad I still have all my Nordstrom trees I think they are beech or cedar but they are unvarnished and spring loaded with a wooden handle for a grip.

The horrible square toe shoes you see everywhere is because the label didn't invest in creating or outsourcing someone to make a last for them. There is no need for a last when all lines converge to a square to the front.

I wear a belt with suspenders because I carry a leather man and a knife. You need a belt to carry those. Suspenders and belts pair great together in my opinion. Sometimes the belts can suck when they are real tight but with suspenders I can loosen the belt, still keep my pants up and still carry my edc on my belt

Im into mens classic wear however im really into designer stuff too. Im judicious what i pick to buy from designers but mostly accesories like a belt or ...gucci loafers. I have two pairs of gucci loafers and i wear them casually all the time. The key is not to wear all head to toe designer or youll look like a marketing billboard, but to mix one or two items in discretely while wearing mostly classic stuff.

Hi i subscribed because i dont want to be seen as a hater, because im not. I have a question about TLB Majorca. Artista line. I usually wear shoes by santoni, ferragamo, kent wang, bally scribe. Usually loafers. I have a low instep so shoes like vass and certain allen edmonds create a gaping effect on the visual down. Which last from artista has the lowest instep area? I heard that tlb majorca has a very high instep so not good for feet like mine. Thanks.

Always solid style advice Vladimir. Re brogues. Classic style says full brogues are more casual but imo, you can totally do long wings with a suit. Re matching shoes to pants. TI wouldn’t do it, but natural colored shoes with tan is fine, as are dark brown shoes with medium brown trousers. And, especially, oxblood or merlot shoes with navy trousers. No white pants in winter. Matching watches with suits. Classic rules say dress watch with a suit. Meaning small, thin, gold and black or brown leather strap. And mechanical. But if you own a luxury sports watch and want to wear it with a suit, a bracelet or leather strap is fine, and within reason, you can do it. Especially if said watch is a status symbol. Even a chronograph or diver. That said, I wouldn’t wear any watch on a rubber or fabric strap with a suit, nor would I wear any watch that is too thick (13 mm) or too wide (43 mm or bigger). Save those watches for casual days.
