I came across them by accident a couple of months ago and ordered a pair of custom made split-toe derby’s in a Horween burgundy hatchgrain. My perfect size is US 12.5 EEE which is a size they do not offer on the website. I contacted them and they offered to build a custom last for my size based on the FF4 last. They did it all exactly as I asked and with unbelievable speed. Fit was perfect! And as has already been stated repeatedly the price is incredible! I got it all done with expedited shipping for under $300. Currently my favorite pair of shoes.

Just got my pair of Tan colored Rudolf derbies from Blkbrd today. Cost around 135 US dollars here in India. Just beautifully crafted and they made it according to my feet measurements , kind of Bespoke you can say. Leather quality is great and the fitting was perfect. Thumbs up for the brand.

Hi Vladimir; -You know I have to say out of all the shoe reviewers on KZbin and recommendations I’ve seen on KZbin and have been keeping up with since the Covid quarantining in 2020 hours are the most detailed and genuine 🙌🏼 Yeossal was almost the best, because I’ve bought 2 pairs from them and Jackson gives the best price and service I’ve ever seen for what he delivers, which are shows to just showcase, because of their quality. -I have a question, would you say BLKBRD is on the same level of hand welt as Yeossal, because it seemed to not have that unique Spade ♠️ Sole edges and sharpness…? Perhaps you could share your opinion? But their price here features are incomparable. FYI, Spier and Mackay is the only clothing manufacturer I would ever purchase from online thanks to you👌🏼 Please keep the unboxings coming 🎉

Appreciate your kind words and support for all these years. I wouldn’t put them at the same level as Yeossal. Yeossal has much better finishes and design. Which IMO is what you’re really paying for when comparing the two price points. But if someone is looking to get into quality welted shoes under the $300 price point, BLKBRD is hard to beat.

Do NOT skimp on the quality of footwear. If you have the bucks, spend it on the best shoes you can. Great shoes make an inexpensive outfit look classy and higher status.

I agree that Blkbrd is doing some great stuff at a crazy value. And they have wide offering on their website. I love the owners as they are great ppl. I currently own their chukka boots. I have ordered and subsequently sold two different pair of lace up shoes. The first pair was too tight and just uncomfortable. The second pair was better but had to be remade as they were not made to the specs i asked for and paid for. Their customer service is great and I think this is a brand on the rise. Some of their shoes are less than $200. You cant go wrong giving this brand a try.

BLKBRD's quality is excellent, but their customer service is....really bad. Had a poor experience with them where they got the sizing wrong despite checking with me twice. When I followed up after about a month to see where they were in the process it took forever for them to get back to me. Results when they came? A size too small, too narrow, and like a dork I creased them a bit hoping they just seemed smaller than they were. I honestly won't buy their shoes again, but I will say as long as you stay on top of them (and I cannot stress this enough, STAY ON TOP OF THEM) they will produce shoes way out of their price range.
