Though I have not seen playing Hanif but I have been a close viewer of rest of the players in the list and also have good awarness of the stats of these players. Fortunate to see almost all the memorable matches of these players LIVE in TV. All 10 players are my favourites and deserved to be there in the top 10 list.

Hanif Mohd. Was the best as he faced the fastest bowlers without a helmet, elbow, thigh or chest guards and with pads & gloves made of cardboard

Good selection except that I would move Zaheer Abbas ---- even though he was more elegant ---- down below Yousuf Youhana and Younis Khan.

with due respect do not agree. Zaheer was better than both Y's. He made his runs against much better bowlers and in an era when there were no restrictions on the no. of bouncers/over and when there was no DRS; bats were inferior. These days most rules are batsmen-friendly, boundaries are short etc. Although I also rate Miandad as Pakistan's greatest batsman, It was quite noticeable that when both Miandad and Zaheer were at the crease together (and in form), Zaheer easily outscored the former because of his superior timing

@@goldenAsif You may have a point about the smaller boundaries and bats.....and even the bowlers.... But I was going by the batting average, number of centuries and the conversion rate ( from 50's to 100's )....Younis's stats alone should always put him ahead....they are quite outstanding. Youhana also had a clearly better average and twice the number of tons that ZA had.... If those differences were marginal I would not have written what I did.....but the statistics of the two Y'S are significantly better...at least for me.

I think Yunis Khan aur inzamam deserve more higher ranking.. They both should come in top 5 along with zaheer Abbas miandad & Hanif Muhammad.. Inzamam is number one or two, bcz his record in both forms of cricket is phenomenal

I think Zaheer abbas is no 1 batsman of pakistan cricket history He scored 1 00 centuries in first class cricket scored 7 centuries in just45 matches although his test record is not of his standard aquality player scoring machine asian bradman how he is on no 3 .

why Zaheer Abbass at no3 as he has very poor record against West Indies,Bad record in India. Very average performance in Australia.A very good county player.Never scored runs on difficult wickets and good bowling.Never helped Pakistan to win or draw a match by his own performance,

Miandad should be at no 5 or 6 after Yousuf,Inzimam,Hanif,younis .Miandad was a very selfish player.Never helped Pakistan to win test matches of his own.Failed badly in Indian in four tours.Played poorly in Australia in 4 tours.Scored runs on dead wickets and mediocre bowling.His average is good as he was never given lbw in Pakistan.
