The silver lining is that the problem should eventually resolve itself via natural selection but it will be tough for the martyrs who have to suffer the consequences of removing the miscreants unsatisfactory genes from the pool. Running over dumb animals is quite distressing after all. We motorcyclists have to take all responsibility for our safety because we know we can’t lump our safety on the overworked drivers shoulders. 😢

That isn’t a cyclist. It’s someone on a bike. Probably going from one drug dealer to the next. A cyclist would be defined very differently from this.

Understand what you're saying.. I ride a fair bit myself but at the end of the day, these people are cycling therefore are cyclists, nomatter how poor. My issue is, if for example, the first rider had come off and damaged the cars, we can agree it would have been entirely his own fault but without dashcam backing me up, I and the other driver would have been held responsible and suffered the fine/points/compensation/repair bills and enivitable motor insurance hike. That's simply how the law works these days. Plus, how do you tell a 'cyclist' from 'someone on a bike'?

@@MurderMostFowl I’ve had mine a long, long time. It gets serviced regularly and in all the years the only thing that has bust is a door speaker. Looking back at where the Land Rover and Range Rover have come from and what they are designed to do, they are not designed for multi storey car parks. 4x4's are quite comfortable driving across ploughed fields, wading through several ft of water, going up and down substantial unpaved inclines, etc etc. They are more capable than ever with all the tech included with the vehicle. I happen to know that the 1990 model VW Golf is the same physical size as the 2010's VW Polo. Then if you look at any of the previous generation Land Rover Defender vs the New Land Rover Defender... The size and height of vehicles have slowly gotten bigger, which of course means we have adapted to that. The infrastructure we have including car parks hasn't changed which is why cars seem to be closer than ever in ever smaller car parking bays! This is the same with all cars not just 4x4's. A car park in Guildford I recently went to has been refurbished, they have re-spaced all of the bays making them bigger. This reduces the amount of spaces in the car park but means less parking dents/scuffs from the not so talented drivers! It still has the same height restriction though.

I hear you.. and I might well be wrong. I say in my video I filmed in Broad Street mall car park (proving RRs could park in there), some years ago and I found the footage yesterday, except it was a neighbouring car park at The Oracle, Reading. Sure enough I was filming an interview with a guy stood next to a Range Rover.. but it does blow doubt on whether I've ever taken the RR into the BS Mall. You're dead right about cars getting larger. Like I say, I've had my RR many years, the last of the L322s. I'm so glad I stopped before going in.. the gap was no more than two inches to the beam and literally would have ripped the back of the roof off..

Bicycle riders on the street provide some great opportunities to issue citations. They want the right to use the roads but I catch them constantly breaking laws governing the usage of those roads. One biggie is they will ride thru a stop sign controlled intersections or even red lights without even trying to slow down. The common answer is that they use “clips” (devices attached to their shoes that mate with a holding device on the pedals) and they don’t want to stop and disconnect one or both. 🤨
