Favor Union was also the supplier of stick modules for a % of the original, first party, PS4 controllers. Also, as a side note, some of the PS3 controllers (a batch in PS3's midlife), were shipped with ALPS hall effect modules, they were later discarded and no longer shipped (I guess, as they had a too much long life, those still work today without glitches. I have one of these). BTW, you can also buy 3rd party hall effect stick modules for PS3 gamepads. The PS3 gamepad uses a stick module that is bigger size, but similar shape, than current PS4, PS5, Nintendo and Xbox controllers, the size and shape that has become standard in 1st party controllers since PS4. Side note 2: The most frequent fix you have to do on a PS3 controller is to "force" proper contact between the ribbon cable and the motherboard, by putting some foam (in fact the problem appears because the orginal ribbon of foam has become too thin for being pressed all that time) or paper (better than foam, because paper is not made of cell-like struture of foam that will become thin after being pressed for too long) behind the ribbon cable contact area to force it to touch properly the contact area on the motherboard. This has to be done when the controller acts crazy, inputting random button presses by itself. It is a quite easy modification/fix. Side note 3: You can take out the GuliKit TMR sides (the colored part that has the TMR sensor) of their TMR modules, and put them on a ALPS PS5 stick module, keeping the original ALPS metal frame. The metal frames of both are equal, compatible.

Wow, I didn't know that Favor Union was one of the first-party manufacturers of DUALSHOCK4! You must be an insider, aren't you !? I heard some of the PS3 controllers had hall effect sticks. I wonder why hall effect sticks are no longer equipped in those controllers. But the commercial reason is really convincing because of such luck of the cheaper PS5 officially licensed controllers. :( It's exciting to here your knowledge. Thank you very much for your comments!

@@モノる Thanks. No, I am not an insider. Just a hobbyist like you. Keep up the good content.
