It is an outstanding composition. The passage at 2:39 gives me chills. Why hasn't it been released? How is that even possible?

I looked ALL over the internet for sheet music and nothing. So I emailed Oshima and she offered to send me the music for it in december (i JUST got the email telling me it’ll be sent in december this morning i have been ecstatic all day) And, if you’re a viola player like me, you’ll be surprised to know she also WROTE A VIOLA SONATA!!! it was played once at some festival in france back in 2013 and that is ALL i could find on it. She said she’ll also send that to me along with this piece….. unbelievable.

Est -ce que Schostakowitsch est éscrivé un Concert pour Alto? Je connaîs seulement la Sonata pour Alto la dérnière pièce de Maître?🤔 Did Schostakowitsch wrote a Viola Concerto,I know only the Viola Sonata his last piece of maestro? Translates well to the viola. Bravo! Schostakovich would be very content. The viola has dark and introspective sound which is perfect for this piece.

@@masantonio8790 none of those are nearly as balls to the wall awesome as this piece. Violists have every right to play whatever they please. You don't have to listen if you don't like it. This performance is absolutely great. Whether it's chin or leg cello, doesn't matter.

@@rainyday6430 Meh. I don't particularly like this arrangement, and there's a reason it's for cello. I'm a violist myself and would probably dislike learning this. I much prefer the Viola Sonata.
