Translates well to the viola. Bravo! Schostakovich would be very content. The viola has dark and introspective sound which is perfect for this piece.

@@masantonio8790 none of those are nearly as balls to the wall awesome as this piece. Violists have every right to play whatever they please. You don't have to listen if you don't like it. This performance is absolutely great. Whether it's chin or leg cello, doesn't matter.

@@rainyday6430 Meh. I don't particularly like this arrangement, and there's a reason it's for cello. I'm a violist myself and would probably dislike learning this. I much prefer the Viola Sonata.
