i say its just your brain going over all the things youve done learned and heard since you last slept and filing them into your little memory cabinets and your dreams are just your subconscious without a conscious filter over it to allow you to decipher whats made up and whats not

@This Once I had a dream that is commonly called a nightmare among folks wherein I was getting spawned at a gourmet shop's protein bar section and stressing over which one should i buy for my Friend1's birthday (who is a bodybuilding geek). I woke up in the middle of the night multiple times. Probably 10+ times and every time i slept again, i had the same dream. the same stress and the same Friend2 who had come with me to the shop to buy a protein bar. The next morning i had to go cycling with Friend2 for 100 km for the first time and i was thinking i wont be able to do it but luckily i was able to lol. This had occurred in real life on the day shift of the nightmare sleep but i don't think we had stressed over it and just picked the one with zero added sugars. What i can derive from that is that probably, the fear from the daunting task of cycling a 100k for the first time in my life and the situation on that day before sleeping got merged and led to this

They affect base enzymatic functions of glands which afford you more duration of ease. It's like when you go to sleep and wake up with busted lips. Did you feel it? No.

I've had plenty of strange dreams, but there's only ever been three dreams that felt extremely real, and they all were nightmares. I had 3 reaccuring nightmares when I was pretty young, but I remember them clear as day. It was always in my room, and there always was some sort of shadowey figure. I'm only gonna talk about the first time tho. I had a white noise machine in my room and a night light. Basically I closed my eyes trying to fall asleep when suddenly i heard the flick of a switch and the noise machine turned off. I opened my eyes and looked at a counter thing in my room and saw like a miniature mill and like a town on it. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw something move. It was a shadowey figure. In that moment I was filled with terror. I was laying on my stomach so I pulled the covers over me and hid. Then I felt a single finger touch my back. After that I heard my noise machine turn back on and I pulled the covers off and the shadowey figure was gone. It was absolutely terrifying for me because it felt so real. I must have moved in real life too though since I somehow pulled the covers over me while dreaming.

I used to get dreams all the time that I couldn’t quite call nightmares because they were kinda goofy but still somewhat scary to be in. I never could figure out how to fully lucid dream but sometimes if I was particularly freaked out by the dream I could figure it out and immediately wake up by (I know this sounds kinda horrible but idk) offing myself in some way.
