No button. Just the direction of the left stick matters at the moment of the tip

Great video! What about “speed boosting,” though? I hear about/see “skilled” players doing it all the time in 1v1. They like wiggle like crazy up the ice and then cut 45 degrees.

Yeah the L2 can give you a pretty unpredictable movement, but it doesn't actually make your player faster. It's still definitely useful as it does make you shift sideways a little while maintaining your speed. Could've been worthy of a mention in the video for sure 👍

Speed glitch! If u quickly hold L2 while straight lining, you’ll get a slight speed boost. Very useful in WOC

I've tried testing it, and I can't confirm that it would be an increase in speed. It does look like it, and does make your players movement more unpredictable/harder to defend. I tried timing it frame by frame but it did not seem like there was an actual speed difference. But for sure a useful thing no matter what, could've been worth mentioning in the video 👍

What about slightly holding L2 and then letting go into a forehand puck protect? The animation from the L2 into the forehand puck protect is a fast animation which gets you body positioning on defenders. The key is to spam this animation to constantly gain more speed. You can also slightly hold LT on backchecks and you will get there faster. Same thing, has to be very slight LT and multiple times. There’s also holding the Y button when you have the puck to where you just feel faster. Every time Ive attacked the net while holding Y or pass cancel, I always beat the goalie with less effort and skate past defenders through incidental contact while holding onto the puck more than if I weren’t holding down Y or pass cancel. You can also poke while holding Y. This poke check seems to not just make contact with the puck but make it stop where you make contact with it. Many times I use this while cutting a straight liner off on the boards and I can stop myself to collect the stopped puck from the Y poke before they even notice I got it off of them. As for goals there’s many things that have sort of been patched. But on NHL 24 one of my go to goals was backskating from the corner out towards the net. And if you stop holding LT as you continue skating that direction, the goalie would slide off short side every time leaving it a free goal. This is different from the holding LT and going far side.

Missed one at bottom: Ive sat in practice and labbed so many things i imagine i get at least 30-35. So far 25-25. Edited up to expert so far perfect. At the useless now still perfect…man i know too much about this game… Damn so 40 out of 41. Really wish you hadn’t shown the FH shot glitch. I personally hate using it since the spin part into shot looks so broken. Anyways you finally got me on the auto windmill and part of me is not wanting to believe it. Side note: One that I think has some value is the ability to push RT/R1 and the icon pass at the same time and it will auto sauce it to the player *no matter the distance between them* Side side note: the LT/L2 tap spin variation can be controlled in the same way of stride dekes, you tap LT as you are holding the left stick further right or left of where you were skating. So if you are skating to the right at 3oclock you need to quick shift further right (4 oclock) to spin counter clockwise and further left (2oclock) to spin clockwise

Just like in normal shots, just the direction of your left stick at the moment the tip happens matters (it's tough sometimes because you also move your player from the same left stick)

weird man, i've had players switch icons during the game in threes quite often. like y turns to x. i've had dmen change icons mid game too. i never used L2 for spins ever, they're shitty feeling. you can also do a different slower spin with Ltrigger.

40/40 but I'm kinda cheating cause I forgot how the forehand glitch worked lmao I learned the other day that tying up a player in front of the net is now by holding A/X. Pretty useful on D in eashl lol

Tying up can be done with both A/X or Y/Triangle. One ties the stick and the other ties up the body. Stick is way stronger though as a dman

Ive been working on a move for à while but not much people use it you can cancel a spin o rama with a pass at any moment during a spin no matter what direction you go and also you can use that to score goals on a breakaway cuz its tougher for an ai goalie to catch à pass than a shot if you want a video of my special move that i created with this for future content let me know !

You missed at least one thing: You can ask for an ai to shoot a one-timer if you push right stick up as you pass to them This can be useful in HUT moments and in World of Chel, expect that it's incredibly rare for a npc to be on ice in a league such as ECL I know all of these expect for how to cancel puck freezing as a goalie or how to skip the injury animation Some of the expert ones I knew about but don't have the skill to execute them reliably enough Fun fact, the "other" way to execute spinorama was the original and only way to do the move way back, this one button click is quite a recent addition I believe, I still mainly use the old way as well. I hate the current way of clearing the puck using rb, back in the day it was much easier, faster controlleable so I think it's better just to slapshot the puck away from your own zone Also the holding left trigger while shooting doesn't seem to work always and at least I still keep getting random interference calls when trying to shoot...

When you hold LT/L2 to prevent the shove animation, you get one attempt. After that you have to let go and reengage the LT/L2 button. You still cannot spam up on the stick or you will start the shove.

Honestly there's not a lot of glitch goals in this game. That forehand glitch is one, but other than that... maybe the wraparound from a backskate can be considered a glitch goal. But can't think of anything else tbh

With a lefty from about 7 o'clock to 12. Clockwise. With a righty from 5->12 counterclockwise.

i feel that the game does not let you to win by some algorithm. It decides the scenario from the begining of the match. It is obvious from the hut moments. Whenever you are not capable to score the game keeps more or less the score even. But if only i score ai scores immideatley strikes back and become more powerfull, so you could not set up a priper defence

I play mostly just EASHL- In most games our team and opponent does not get any one timer circles. Is this something other people are seeing? Is this on purpose by EA?

Im still on 24 enjoying franchise. I played my 10hrs demo or whatever of 25 n it wasnt worth me buying it. 24 ive got settings tweaked to a point its enjoyable still

Another exploit you forgot to mention is when you’re back checking, you “spam up” on the right stick (quick hit animation) to hustle back. It boosts your speed like crazy. That’s gotta be fixed. Reminds me when a few years ago holding RB/R1 back checking made you faster. It’s the same issue just different button to hit this time..

I honestly don't think it makes you faster. That being said, I don't think it makes you slower either. Some people do it, but to me it seems like it doesn't make a difference. I've tried to time it in practice mode, and I don't think there is a difference honestly. And back in the day RB/R1 was the same way, didn't affect speed.
