@@CorruptFileSports he was SOLID for the Browns yes and had the all pro season in 07 but omg one of my youngest memories as a fan was just wondering what happened from Braylon from 07 to 08 and then there was the incident when he tried to fight LeBron James’s friend outside a nightclub and then next thing you know he was gone and traded to the Jets. And also Edwards didn’t make “scrub QB Derek Anderson look good” lol look at some of the football teams the OC of the 07 browns “Rob Chudzinksi” has coached he has always set his offense up for a position to score score and score

In general the 2005-2010s Saints skill position group is totally forgotten. WRs Colston, Lance Moore, Devery Henderson, RB Pierre Thomas was an undrafted beast who pushed Reggie Bush to 2nd string. Only Brandin Cooks and Micheal Thomas later. Guys watch those 2008-2009 Saints #1 Offense both years, 8-8 2008 due to awful D.....but thrilling games! 2010-2011 is Awesome too. Really, the whole Brees-Payton Era is epic offensive football, scheme and talent.

Maybe its cause Fantasy Football blew up in 2015-16 and therefore WRs got remembered? I only played FF in 2000s until 2012 When I realized it was getting in the way of analyzing real football why things happen or don't. Plus I was a curse on everyone I drafted. Daunte Culpepper top 5 QB year before, I draft him 05 he turns it over 17x in 7 games, out for the year, never ever plays well again.

Devin Hester was a menace. The GOAT kick returner deserves to get in. Full stop. One thing working against Reggie Wayne is that he was second fiddle to Marvin Harrison for quite a few years, whereas Andre Johnson was always THE guy in Houston.
@CorruptFileSports7 ай бұрын
Marvin Harrison from 1999-2006 is one of the finest stretches of wide receiving ever. Good point you bring up there with Andre Johnson. The guys who trailed him for most catches/yards on the Texans were Owen Daniels and Arian foster, neither of whom were WRs. there maybe was a year jacoby jones had like 50+ catches and 600+ yards, but that’s obviously a far cry to the numbers prime Andre Johnson was putting up.

I'd also include Matthew Slater and Steve Tasker for how impactful they were as gunners. Vinatieri and Shane Lechler also absolutely deserve nods in Canton. Antonio Gates and Reggie Wayne also need to be in (and Steve Smith Sr.). Devin Hester also absolutely deserves his spot as *the* return man. Long snappers don't really have the impact on the game...unless they fuck up. I'd hesitate to include Fred Taylor, especially when Roger Craig isn't in yet (the best eligible RB not in the HOF).
@CorruptFileSports7 ай бұрын
yep, when long snappers are noted its usually under unfortunate circumstances (see Trey Junkin) Roger Craig is one of the most underrated players of all time. he was the original Marshall Faulk. I'm also not sure about Fred Taylor, if there's one Jaguar I'd like to see make it, it's Jimmy Smith.
