Wayne Chrebet had an amazing football journey. He's an all time Jet and his legacy will live forever.

Id like to make the correction the stallions played in Baltimore Maryland (usa) as part of the cfl's ill fated attempt to expand into the US they folded despite being successfully and essentially became the modern Montreal alouetts

Yes that’s something that I realized after making this video. I didn’t even know the CFL tried to expand in the US.

me too. that was my first Jets game. week 3 2007 against the Dolphins I believe Never mind that wasn't the game he was put in the ring of honor, that came in 2014. but he was honored before that game in 07. looked it up in the middle of writing this comment lol

As a kid and Raiders fan I hated Chrebet since he would always torch us. I would always pronounce his name Sherbut as a stupid way of sneak dissing him lol. But even then as a kid I could see how tough and hardworking he was and respected him. Was lowkey always a fan!

Okay, I gotta just get it off my chest. How do these scouts get away with letting a guy set all these school records at a D-1 school, as well as tie a record set by the GOAT (they should’ve known that then), miss the combine yet alone go undrafted? That would’ve really undermined the underdog story, but Wayne was already living to prove the haters wrong!

There are a lottttt of guys coming out of college. Some dudes with serious talent are bound to slip through the cracks and go unseen. Just look at Kurt Warner.

Does anybody remember that play that happened during the last game of the season for the Jets. But Chrebet caught the ball and tried to hurdle a defender and got hit mid-air and fumbled the ball?
@CorruptFileSports11 ай бұрын
I don’t remember Chrebet playing unfortunately I was too young when he retired and there isn’t much footage of him out there. If you find that clip let me know! It sounds epic lol
@Maxmaxmax6311 ай бұрын
@@CorruptFileSports I was awfully young then too but that play is imprinted in my head. It was last game in the season, and it was one of those ‘last play 4th down let’s do a bunch of passes and laterals to try and get a Td’. And then yeah like I said he took a brutal hit mid-hurdle and fumbled. Maybe I’m just imaging all of this and it’s a hallucination. I’ll have to do s’more research!

He was NOT 5-10! More like 5-7 or 5-8
@CorruptFileSports10 ай бұрын
Is there any source out there that has said the same? His official listed height was 5-10 but in some cases the official listed height isn’t accurate, such as the case with Kevin Durant’s height.
@144Donn10 ай бұрын
@@CorruptFileSports I passed right by him in the mall years ago, when he was playing and I was stunned by his stature. I am 5-9 and he looked considerably shorter which only makes his legend ever greater!
