I know this is a 6 year old video. What you made is blackberry jelly. Jam has all the seeds. My family has been making blackberry jam for decades and you don't remove seeds.

I think I would have cut the field tile over in the field and not had to put in the sump pump. And that would have kept the water away from your house. Am I correct ??? How is it all holding up today ??

Now this looks like Thanksgiving, and all winter long condiment. I do not like that cranberry jelly in a can. But this looks delicious. Thank you. I added this to my project list.

You may not mind risking your health for botulism, but please do not risk other's health. You are not an expert on canning, our USDA and others use scientific methods, which you should appreciate.

Hello... I'm wondering if the steam juicer would work with eldeberries. They have tiny seeds and are yummy berries. They are a pain to squeeze they Cheesecloth. I would love it if this device would work. Thanks!

Janie, I just was telling my husband a few weeks back that I hadn't seen one of your videos in a while and he said that I had mentioned that before to him a few months ago when I had him buy a big huge bag of long grain rice. Your videos just stopped coming up on my recommendations, and then all of a sudden today, there was your dry canning video, so I clicked on your channel name so that I could save it to my special file. I'll be glad to go through and see what I have missed over I think nearly three years or more. Glad to have you back. May God always Bless the two of you and your family with good health, safety, and prosperity in all you do. ~SuzyJC-in-Central-Southeastern-Ohio_10.18.2023~

So do you have to waterbath your juice..can it just be stored in the fridge in glass jars.

I use homemade laundry soap and it works great for me. I think people may be putting too much in each load. It’s strong and I only use a heaping tablespoon per load.

How did your jars have no liquid loss?
@lisahylton24499 ай бұрын
Tighten your lids' finger tight. I had the same problem and started tightening my lids a little more.
@OurLittleHomestead9 ай бұрын
When I tighten my lids, I tighten till you feel the gum give and then stop moving on glass rim...then I give an addition 1/4" turn. Works for me every time. No liquid loss and I never let sit in a dropped locked canner for more than five minutes.
@renabuckner89 ай бұрын
I have a question about rings. Due to availability of jars , I started using regular mouth jars and lids. That said, I have found that regular mouth lids and rings are not as dependable as the large mouth. The rings seem to not move smoothly when putting on the jar. When that happens, the ring will not come off without breaking the seal of the jar. Do you have any pointers for that situation?
@OurLittleHomestead9 ай бұрын
Sounds like you are putting your rings on too tight. When process is done and lid has sealed down. Most my rings are loose...reg or wide size rings. I've never had no stick so tight they've pulled off a lid. Try tightening just until you feel the gum on the glass rim come to a stop and see if that helps your situation.
