TY so much! You are an excellent trainer. With the world going coocoo, there are no guarantees for income and benefits. Young people want finished products. Don't have time. When these products are gone, uh oh. My mom taught me to use whatever on hand to make similar stuff when income or benefits go down. Put the difference $ in a jar for backup. It's not a long time to learn, keeps you busy and saving $ on top.

Thank you! They sold for $8 each and I gave a wee lad a few for his family as Father's Day gifts for $4 each. They make great sale items for my farmer's Market/barter stand in springs along with my apple butters and my SD bread loaves. I'm really enjoying this area of the county and our wee farmstead. Hope you have been well, dear?

Having a smooth top stove and the canning time is done and the stove is shut off, does the canned remain on the burner or should it be moved off? Thanks for the video! I was planning on doing my first batch of yellow beans this weekend 😊
@OurLittleHomestead5 ай бұрын
I carefully pick up canner and set on a cooler burner. You don’t have to do this. I just always did for tears in my glass top at other house. Make sure your glass top is clean of any sugar or food rings. That can cause glass to break from high temps. And don’t drag canner across glass top… it will scratch it. If you decide to leave canner on the hot ring, turn burner off one minute prior to alarm going off to keep from over processing food. I usually turned off and lifted canner to cooler burner. I love my gas stove- no need to move it.

I read through every comment and for the people freaking out about the oats or that like me, just want to eat a carnivore or keto woe. Here’s how I made mine. Minced meat Dried onions Dried garlic Jarred ginger paste All spice Nutmeg Salt White pepper & black pepper Parsley….mix up well and air fry until done through. I make my own beef and mushroom broth so I added both to a pot with dried shiitake and button mushrooms and a bit of powdered mushroom broth. Then added a little mushroom powder, all spice, nutmeg, and white and black powder. Finally, I added one can of cream of mushroom, but you can totally omit that. It turns out amazing! Ty for the inspiration. I hope to see new videos from you soon. ❤

It did it every time we hit a pothole...scared us! We pulled into Menards and replaced the rubber gaskets and it fixed the issue. It wobbled so bad, you felt like you were on a ride. It's dangerous for sure!

I think I would have cut the field tile over in the field and not had to put in the sump pump. And that would have kept the water away from your house. Am I correct ??? How is it all holding up today ??

The city and developer made that decision for us. We sold house five years ago and bought a farmstead. But my friends, who bought our old house, are thankful for it when the storms hit. I put a bunker in our new basement. She says the grands love going down there with friends and watching tv, esp in bad weather. It's holding up great. I put three coats of coal tar apoxy on it.

So is 2024 do you still have the cherry tree?
@OurLittleHomestead5 ай бұрын
The ppl that bought our house five years ago, said they cut down 3 of the back yard trees. I believe that was one of them. Once you sell, you have no say, for sure! I have had two of my four cherry trees make it here on the farm though. Cherry trees for me are hard to get going. Very few around these parts of central Indiana. I did get peaches for the first year and second year for pears. First year for apples as well. Plus we have a 60 tree orchard down the lane. I made over 200 pints of applebutters last year and sold all but 30 jars. It paid for my garden seed and my landscape mulch this spring. Plan on making peach jam this year. I give 10% of fruit to ppl in need.
@joseagredano61255 ай бұрын
