Hi! I am enjoying your videos. Thanks. By the way: I study heroglyphs since some years now (am now translating the Unis Pyramid texts) and I can give you my feedback. The closest word you can get to "spell" is actually not Akhu... it is Sakhu. Akhu (he who has become an effective spirit) is a verbal form (participium). an S before a verbal form is 90% of the time a causative S. So the word for "spells" actually means: something that caused the becoming into an effective spirit. This is a proof in language that the spells were instructions in the transformation into an akhu after the death (and during life they were instructions to proceed on an initiation - magick path). I hope my English is good enough to explain what I mean!

You mention the underworld a bit so I'll share something with you and if you Vax entertain an idea without accepting it then it may put things into perspective. What my discipline calls the first Arcanum. An Arcanum being a thing that must me known before anything else can be known in its proper context. The first thing we are taught is that while we all assume that this is life we are in fact wrong. They thought we have it backwards, our soul is entombed in flesh the element of earth. We have descended into matter. The underworld.. to them this isn't life, this is death. We are the ones who must escape the underworld.The ancients taught in complex symbolic allegories we know as the myths. The Osiris myth is just an older more complex version of the Greek persephone. The sumerian Innana, the Aztec hero twins.. they all had to escape the underworld..people say the Egyptians were obsessed with death.. no they were obsessed with life! Consider, if the book of the dead is called "coming forth by day and is concerned with the "afterlife" ie daytime association with the next realm then it stands to reason that this existence is night, or death.
