High there! I’m confused what does lekkie mean with DRIVE SIDE? Do the cups refer to the drive pedals? Or do they mean the motor and both cups are looking to the motor? Also: do I have to press them in or should the move in easily? Help! Thanks!
Has anyone had the experience of updating firmware from app and getting locked out of bike and app won’t connect? CYC is saying it’s bricked wtf now Electrify Bike is telling me I have to uninstall kit and mail to them at my cost for them to do a reflash what a pain in the butt!

Where do I get all the upgraded parts you used?. If I buy this motor I want the same upgraded parts your using opposed to what comes with the motor stock.

high there! can you please advise the proper conversion kit to fit a bafang 48/1000 motor into a 121 mm raceface press fit bracket wit 41mm diameter? Thank you in advance!

Can you install this system without the throttle! As I would like the motor to respond to my input, just like a more expensive none kit emtb's. I'm not looking for an electric motorbike/skooter experience.

My upgrade suggestions are: gear shift sensor, crank arms, lekkie chainring and finally a tuning cable. Strong frame, light wheels and fork with good hubs and a strong rear cassette.

Will m635 work with eggrider v2, to adjust the settings, or is there a way to addjust it for user preference? Are there any more vids planned about this motor? Im very interested in it, but theres not much information to be found anywhere...

The issue I ran into trying to fit my old Tongshen to my new Ozark trail Ridge was that the chain stays got in the way of the motor fitting all the way into the BB.. Does this have the same fitment requirements as the BBSHD (because I tried a fitment guide for that motor and it looked like it was also a no-go)or is that drive side gear housing just a bit smaller?

Putting the battery where you did near the motor puts an awfully lot of weight forward on the boom. That makes the trike awkward to lift into the back of a truck or SUV. I chose to mount my battery on a rack at the rear when I electrified my trike nine years ago. You might try that after you get some experience transporting this new build. Nice video showing the process. Yes, electric trikes are a blast to ride and doing the work yourself saves thousands over the price of a commercial electric trike.

You showed us the Bafang chain ring did not line up properly, where does one get hold of the Lekkie one from which did line up perfectly?

Conversions are all death traps. Fitted to bikes not made for those stresses, generally put on very low end bikes with super cheap flimsy components and aluminium frames that fatigue much faster with a kit fitted. Not even mentioning the likelihood of burning your house down.

if the motor comes loose it will not just drop down and pull up under load, but also move sideways. Pulling it up with a hose clamp does absolutely nothing against lateral movement. There is no way around tightening the nut really hard. I have installed one M435 and it is a truly awesome motor. lots of low end torque, excellent torque sensor response and highly customizable with the BESST tool. On top of all the power, it's butter smooth and super silent, as we know it from the BBS02/HD. I was told from China that Bafang discontinued the production of the M635 and M435. Is this true? would be the worst decision from Bafang. Yes, the price is higher, but it is one badass motor. We want great motors, not cheap motors

I'd like to upgrade my existing BBSHD can you just replace the motor and use all the existing components? (obviously the speed sensor is different)
@mattmaxon778317 күн бұрын
The Bafang speed sensor is a POS. I got a magnet for a Trek / Bosch that uses 2 of the brake rotor mounting screws and a small reed switch. Made a mount for the switch and have not broke off a speed sensor yet. If you ride on infrequently maintained single tracks dirt roads etc you'll break off the Bafang speed sensor in a minute

Hello, I just installed my bbshd on a trek with a BB 92. It works almost perfectly. The non drive side ring that you screw into the bbshd bottom bracket starts to get loose after each ride. Not loose enough to come off thankfully but loose enough that I have to re-tighten it after ever every other ride. What do you suggest is the solution? I don't think blue thread locker inside the bottom tube is a good idea....
