The reason Washington ignores the race questions is he was a Southern Plantation owner who owned slaves. That's why it's more funny to Americans. We know what a total s&!t he was.

АЛЛИЛУЙЯ! 1. Free Blacks in the U.S. were extended the liberties of the Constitution, albeit with real-world obstacles. And the entire meme of Founding Fathers' "failure" to end slavery with the birth of the Constitution is profoundly historically ignorant. The U.S. was a brand new nation that had just come out of a brutal and costly war for independence, and was both fragile and fractious. Attempting to end slavery at that point probably would have ended the country, and whatever personal views some of the Founders had on slavery doesn't change that the calculation and its result were obvious at the time.

They’re right about everything except temperature. Fahrenheit makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE.
@ThunderPants13Күн бұрын
Fahrenheit is more precise than Celsius because each degree Fahrenheit represents a smaller interval than each degree Celsius.
@jakeboden87119 сағат бұрын
Maybe to you. Because you're used to it perhaps? But basically the entire planet uses Celsius, because it makes sense. Water freezes at zero, boils at 100. Simple
@jakeboden87119 сағат бұрын
@@ThunderPants13 we use decimal places to be more accurate if necessary. in metric. 10s and 100s
@gavinsheridan46809 сағат бұрын
@@jakeboden8711 Other way around. You like C because your used to it but the boiling/freezing points of water are arbitrary. Fahrenheit is designed for the human experience on earth. 0 to 100 based on what human experience.

@PlutozRealКүн бұрын
Fahrenheit is a human number. Celsius is a scientific number. In our human lives there are temperatures we can tolerate and temperatures that become a hazard. When it's hot out we can sweat to cool ourselves but above 100 degrees Fahrenheit our sweat becomes insufficient and without relief we would die. On the cold end below freezing our bodies can still keep us warm and we can wear clothing to keep us warm. Also consider driving on the road we can apply salt mixes to prevent the road from freezing. But below zero degrees Fahrenheit even our clothing becomes insufficient and the salt mixtures stop working properly then driving becomes a hazard. So really the scale of 0 to 100 Fahreheit is a measurement of our own comfort. We generally view 70% of something to be relatively decent. 70% is considered a passable grade. So it makes sense that 70 degrees Fahrenheit is where we're generally comfortable. 70 degrees Fahrenheit is 21 degrees Celsius. 21 doesn't mean anything. Doesn't correlate to how we're feeling. Because Celsius is based on the freezing and boiling points of water. Which are very helpful values in chemistry and other sciences. But basically meaningless to the average human in their daily lives. Of all the weird units that the US uses, Fahrenheit is one that I actually agree with. It's easy to relate to because it correlates directly with how I'm feeling. If I say "ugh it's hot out" and it's 110 degree. That's 110% of my comfort level, that's pretty hot. If I say "it's hot out" and you say it's 43 degrees C, what does that even mean?

Well said,sir! Harrumph harrumph!🧐 Couldn't agree more.😊❤

One of the biggest misnomers ever is this idea that football (soccer) is called football because they kick the ball. Kicking a ball has nothing to do with why it ws As given that name. American football, rugby and soccer are all descendants of early games that were given the name 'football' because they were played on foot as opposed to on horse or in the water (polo) So American football being called football makes every bit as much sense as soccer being called football. Rugby still today is called 'rugby football' They're all games played on foot. That being said, hand egg would still be a funnier name for the NFL.
@russb24Күн бұрын
That would mean cricket and baseball are football too.
@bangjoeofficialКүн бұрын
@russb24 they're not descended from (foot) ball games. Look it up I'm not making this up. Rugby, NFL and soccer all evolved from the same sport.

That sketch was definitely a gem. Nate Bargatze played Washington perfectly with his dry delivery. As an American, I've always found the mix of measurements a minor frustration. There was a movement in the 70s to pull us into the metric system, but old habits die hard and it never quite panned out. Now we're left with this odd arrangement. And I still don't know how wheels and tires got caught between the two. Tire width is measured in millimeters and diameter in inches. Oh the joy! LOL
@willjohnson8446Күн бұрын
The UK is in a similar situation. They use metric far more than the US, but still don’t use it all the time. They even occasionally measure weight in stones.
@ObjectifiedКүн бұрын
It's not "old habits" it's an entire process. And it's unnecessary. Americans already use metrics everywhere it really matters, and many Americans use metrics to some extent in their day-to-day lives. It's only a "big deal" to non-Americans who like to pretend it makes us somehow inferior, and to Americans who fall prey to the opinions of that kind of person.
@apexerman120 сағат бұрын
@@Objectified - Interesting. Yep, "old habits" was a merely a comedic euphemism, but yes, it is more involved. In our line of work, building methods are still very much Imperial-based and we routinely adapt to metric properties depending on the project. It's cumbersome. The time to switch to metric in all areas is long overdue.

The eye in question is the "Eye of Providence" which is something of a symbol for benevolent oversight. It's often associated with the Freemasons, though that came later. On the back of the dollar it sits atop a partially constructed pyramid of 13 tiers, representing the 13 founding colonies (the number 13 is hidden all throughout the design). It and the accompanying latin phrase imply a higher oversight, though nothing as overt as the "In God We Trust" phrase which as added in the 1950s. (Man, they couldn't even get it to 13 letters.)

They will be having a Korean comeback next month, but I'd go check out God's Menu, and Chk Chk Boom (their July comeback). Stray Kids produce their own stuff, so they can do whatever they want. It lets them be experimental if they feel like it. The rappers you liked were Changbin (the big, buff dude) and Hyunjin, who was dragging the scythe. Stray Kids is known for their rap line, lol.
