Well, what a delight on a cold and rainy January morning in England. I have seen many reactions to this this album but this was very enjoyable. Such a delight to see a young person appreciating this fabulous recording. Here's a tiny bit of context. I'm coming up for the age Bowie was when he died. This was the first Bowie album I ever bought (in 1972 of course) and it knocked me sideways. To this day it is my favourite album by any group or artist. I saw Bowie twice in his Ziggy incarnation, in 1972 and the 1973 when he had returned from the American tour. Naturally, I have all of Bowie's 26 studio albums and as many 'offshoots' via compilations, best ofs and live albums. I'm really looking forward to side two - I hope you have done it! I hope you go on to do more DB album reactions: and let me suggest Hunky Dory if you do take a second step into this magical rabbit hole. I give you 9.75 (out of 10) for making my morning.

Boy, if I had to pick a Top 5......Got to Get You into My Life is #1, And Your Bird Can Sing is #2. After that, in no particular order, I guess I would go with She Said, She Said + For No One + I Want to Tell You. Two Johns, two Pauls and a George. Perfect balance, just like the whole album.

I feel for you baby girl. I also know the pain, emptiness, longing, remorse, guilt, and yes, anger, associated with loss of loved ones. Ones whom you looked to all your life and never expected that they would be so suddenly gone. Time will help as you go through these various stages but it won't heal. Eventually you will learn to accept things, forgive yourself, and hold fond memories. At least that's some of what I've experienced and it's taken me over twenty years. I was growing up in grade school when the Beatles first became popular and have always held their music close to my heart, and like you said: the ability to reach or touch someone is rare and does make them special. I'm glad you found them and have experienced their unique contributions to music and society. Thank you for your efforts, and I enjoy all your videos.

FYI The track opens with a "lych bell" or "corpse bell". This is better known as the Funeral Toll forJohn's late mother Julia, to whom the track is dedicated. At the time it was yet another part of John's therapy the break his LSD dependence with 'Cold Turkey and Primal Screams. He was encouraged to let loose his inner feelings of meloncoly which helprd him to fight his inner deamons of depression. Other tracks like Isolation, Remember and God give snippets of Johns inner thoughts at that time. In fact he whole album is really a comprehensive personality profile of John. 'Beatle Bob' aka Trains 4 George. Peace & Love xx

You have given the most musically sophisticated reaction to the music of Syd Barrett that I have seen so far. There’s a good reason why the Beatles label gave the Floyd the biggest advance at the time . Though he would leave shortly after , he laid the ground work for the band to follow: concerts as theatre; sound as a collage, and song writing that makes use of surprise and semi-tone progressions. The greats that he influenced reads like a Who’s Who of England’s greats.

Perfect balance on this album - 5 John. 5 Paul, 3 George, and a Paul Song for Ringo. Sgt. Pepper is Paul-centric (John has 2 classics and 2 good-but-not-greats and George only has one song).

Back when this was written there was a seemingly Universal cliche which stated that one's schooldays are the best days of one's life. That's just to explain the song title for you. Also, I guess it's appropriate that the song about "The best days of your life" should be full of minors lol. Pink Floyd always make me chuckle.

You didn't include any early Beatles. SHE LOVES YOU, I WANNA HOLD YOUR HAND,TWIST AND SHOUT, HELP ETC ETC ETC . that's where it all started. You should go back and spend more time in 62 63. John and Paul were just starting to realize their combined genius.

I know I'm a bit late, don't know if anyone else has brought this up, but! one day yoko Ono was at the piano playing bethoven's moonlight sonit ,John asked "babe, can u play that backwards? " a moment later she began playing....and that was the birth of the song ' because '

The hits on it are golden. If I was listening to this album back when it came out, I too would have been blown away. 1966 was a big year in music and Pet Sounds was a big part of it. looking back on it now, It sounds like just another adult contemporary album. Sorry

The song, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, changed for me after John was shot in 1980 with a no doubt warm gun. I also love In My Life and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, love you George. The vocal harmonies in Because are amazing. Good choices.

You are closer to the camera again and it's great, I like all of your hearts in the background. They wanted the album to have a "live" feel but then they brought Phil Spector who they thought over did it, like the orchestration on Let It Be. I liked it, but I didn't know they wanted it to be more stripped down. I enjoyed George's I, Me, Mine. Let It Be and The Long & Winding Road are two of my all-time Beatles favorites. You do so well on each of these videos.

I owned this album as a teenager over 50 years ago, so it will be kind of new for me too. Supposedly Too Many People was written about John and John answered with How Do You Sleep? 3 Legs is kind of odd, but interesting. Dear Boy is great. Uncle Albert & Admiral Halsey is quite varied and fun, Smile Away is crazy cool. I know that Paul played all of the instruments on his first solo album, McCartney, I'm wondering if he repeated it here. No, there are two guitarists, a drummer and Linda who eventually form Wings. Great video as they all are you put so much of your beautiful self into each one.

You seem a little far away from the camera due to the keyboard, but great video all the same. Revolver came out when I was a teenager and the drummer of a local garage band when I was 12. Revolver wasn't my favorite album but it totally grew on me as the years went by. I love Here, There, Everywhere and had it in my wedding. Got To Get You Into My Life is also one of my favorites but must be in the side 2 video.

I've been meaning to tell you how cute you are and I'm sorry to hear about your going through a dark place. Did you notice the backward vocals at the end of Rain? I think it's the first time they used backward vocals. I'm pretty sure that George played all of the sitar parts on Inner Light. Hey Jude was written for Julian Lennon when his parents were going through a divorce. That's the version of Revolution that we heard on the radio and I like it the best. They played Don't Let Me Down and Get Back in their concert on the roof of Apple Records. Thanks for sharing about losing your dad, I've gone through that and my mother too. God bless you.

Abbey Road is my favorite Beatles album, largely due to the medley on side B, but Come Together and Something are totally amazing. Octopus' Garden is Ringo's best song. In I Want You, Lennon wanted to see if he could create a compelling song with the minimum amount of words. Here Comes The Sun is the most streamed Beatles song, George wrote it after spending the morning in Eric Clapton's garden. It has the most moog synth sound. I think Because The Sun King have the most amazing vocal harmonies of any Beatles songs. Paul felt that their new manager (Alan Kline) was taking too much of their money. Your video froze at 28:28 but the sound continued. In the song The End all 3 Beatles played guitar solos, McCartney, Harrison and Lennon.

I thought that was great that you broke into the video and clarified your Paul vs. John comparison. And, it's kind of wild that John wrote 'For The Benefit of Mr Kite' based on a poster for a circus from the late 1800's. And 'A Day in the Life' was based on 2 newspaper articles John had read about someone who died in their car and all of the holes being repaired in a road. Oh, so you already know the back story about A Day in the Life, that's great. I'll check out your other videos for the Beatles and will also look for your original songs.
