First mistake in RV Full time living is the RIG YOU BUY. Every video I watch every morning since we're full time RVing as well (but retired). is people WITH BIG 100K DULLY TRUCKS, AND 5TH WHEELS (why) these 5th wheel are the worst to full time travel in. As a retired Professor of Structural engineering in my opinion 5th wheels are not designed to be traveled down the road for long periods of time. i have seen so many people lose there minds over all the issues these unit have.

Heads up, we purchased the Waggle after watching your video, we were suppose to get a free camera-we didnt, when we decided to return it, we had to email them, no one answers the phone, they emailed us the wrong label to return it. It was supposed to be a hazardous label due to the batteries, the sent the cheapest label. Seems a bit sketchy of a company. We will not buy a waggle product because of this.

US medical care is a dumpster fire. It is run like we live in a third world country. The ambulance was there but you were forced to risk further injury and drive yourselves. Makes me sick.

Do you have a semitruck gps with a rig that big? They show gas stops, etc that are semi friendly which would also be big rig friendly.
@liketheresnotomorrow3 күн бұрын
Yes, our Garmin allows us to put all our info (height, length, weight etc) in and only allows us on safe routes. I don’t know how anyone with a fifth wheel can travel without one. I’d be a nervous wreck
@peggypetit12713 күн бұрын
You’re very fortunate ‼️ I fell down a flight of stairs, hitting each edge of 23 stairs. That fall at 53 obliterated my T-8. Ambulance ppl wouldn’t listen when I said my back is broke. We lived countryside, even the fire department didn’t believe me. So they didn’t brace my neck or back. My husband being a police lieutenant said after hours gone by, get a doctor or I’ll pull my gun. He’s not a violent man but hours went by. To shut him up, they sent me to X-ray. I had to get up & stand there for the pics, then get back in bed. Yeah, it was stat this & that. I only remember a couple of things. This is what my daughter told me. 8 months in a hospital bed at home. I shouldn’t been able to walk, they took 3/4 of the disc, it was too shattered. They replaced it with cement. Laymen’s terms. So, my dear, you are very fortunate. Always have your path lit, always use handrails (which I didn’t have) & thank the good lord. Rest easy & take all the time you need to heal. I’ll keep you in my prayers 🙏

Another really nice video. Good luck in growing the channel. I like that Barry is growing his goatee back and Darlene is doing so much better. And great subject material - you're right, many RVing YT videos only paint one side of the story. I'm still looking at 2 years to full-time retirement but your videos continue to inspire me to make the step into full time RV life.

Somewhere you mentioned 1- expensive cost to hire a guy 2- falling off a roof 3- that you are making some sort of How-To RV series Might I suggest that when it comes time to having to climb up on the roof - That You Don't climb up on the roof & you hire someone to do that particular job. Especially if the climber is north of a certain age!!! I am about your age and years ago I wanted to buy a ladder to get up on my house roof. I talked to a friend who uses ladders for work all the time. He steered me towards buying a heavy Industrial ladder. Compared to a cheap Home Depot ladder it is way more confidence inspiring. Obviously you are NOT going to carry a heavy AF ladder with you RV - SO Don't climb up on your roof. It is simply NOT worth the couple hundred bucks you save. So in your HOW - To thingy - I strongly suggest to your readers to not climb on cheap ladders & don't break any bones or worst...
@liketheresnotomorrow4 күн бұрын
I agree somewhat. I didn’t fall off a roof. I fell over the railing of a patio that gave when I tripped. Kinda that stupid thing that can happen… tripping and falling. lol you speak the truth though, I do not get on the roof. My history should not repeat. 😜

You mentioned your inverter is getting hot. Make sure to vacuum it out, or if you have compressed air, blow it out. I will open up mine to really clean it regularly. You have a pet, so pet hair can also block air flow and impede the cooling properties.

We look forward to expanding the adventure. You guys are nailing it with pros and cons with the style of the content your putting out there, Thanks. What you showed in your buy list was a threaded bayonet adapter to the rubber boot side. Is that correct? Shouldn’t the side that goes in to the rubber boot be none threaded?
@liketheresnotomorrow6 күн бұрын
Ideally that would be the case, yes. But I couldn’t find one without threads. So I just used it anyway, put pipe dope on it, and screwed down the seal really tight. Works great
