What does verse 34 mean

Maddy, I believe you're right. We veil because we are covered by Christ. Veiling reminds us and others other this. But we know belief in the Son is what makes us dead to our sins with rebirth in Him. That's grace. What is being discussed sounds like works vs. faith. Jesus warned us against relying on tradition over grace. Circumcision did not equal salvation and neither does veiling. By the way I do veil because I like to show submission in modesty but that is my choice. I don't know if all women feel obligated like I do. The scriptures does not say veiling will save you. Only faith in Jesus will do that.

Thanks again Maddy. If I could put it another way for others: A woman who refuses or is unwilling to veil is a woman who dresses immodest. Modesty for a woman means covering her body, including her hair. Paul being in the spirit is showing how offensive this is, to dress immodest. In fact he says if you insist on showing your hair then remove it, then you won't sin against others by tempting them with immodesty. but of course our hair is part of our glory so we don't want to do that.

I am glad that you are able to say that the Lord directed you to cover your head. There are so many unbelievers that clean themselves to be Christians but they depart from following the instructions in the Bible. The Bible was the building, instructions for making a bicycle a lot of Christians would have both wheels at the front and substitute some round barrel for the back wheel 😅. When we don’t follow God’s word, our imagination and feelings take over. I will share your testimony with others.

Some places like France have laws against women wearing clothing to swim. If they thi k u have too much clothing on that to them resemble burkini and u also msybe have a cap on covering ur hair too thst they might reprimand u and ask u to take off ur clothing covering. I prefer a modest swim attire and not really anything avail that to me meets my convictions. I'd be ok with leggings or crop leggings and a long dress top that covers my butt, however hard to find. I've resorted to some tennis dresses on occasion. I'd be cautious traveling abroad and ppl not understand if ur covered with no bikini. Ppl in states seem to think I'm weird about what I want to swim in and they might not like it but I do. Plus I'm fair I wear long sleeves and long pants to swim anyways or I'll get so burnt. Id note when u say follow laws of land also his disciples made an appeal and asked those judging to judge for themselves if they broke Gods law. We can always make an appeal to any government bodies especially if it's about us standing in our conviction. But yes abide in that but do make an appeal first. I might look weird when I swim ball cap, glasses, long-sleeved and pants or shorts to my knees and sometimes I swim in a dress. But that's OK. I use to be vain and now I have no worries if ppl think I'm odd .

I actually might not wear a veil around my neck or over my shoulder like babushka in public bit I do at church because I know those at church don't mistake me for a different religion. In public I wear bonnet (snood). at church I wear a bonnet and a veil over it. If I am doing something other than mom duties and we have a special occasion out or something important for family I wear something that hangs down and covers everything but isn't over my neck. Comfort is 1 thing too if ur messing with it or cnt wear it long bring a comfy backup in ur purse tgat u know u wont fuss with or that's comfortable or that stays on well. I might go out and Mt veil is appropriate but my ears only last 2 hrs so ill take it off and put my comfortable bonnet on like after church or for long days out. I'm having issues with hair loss, menopause and my hair is so long and is always braided and up I think I have too much tension. I've been considering cutting my hair but it's as long as my faith is old. I've not cut it since I've been born and I've veiled everyday since. I need to find a way to maintain my hair health as I'm aging and growing my hair too. As it is my glory it's important to keep hair and scalp healthy too. So a balance is needed to honor God but to be a good steward of the glory he gave us also. All glory be to God and y we veil. I feel it's just important not just to cover my hair but to care for it too. I have had to except that sometimes I cnt get my hair up because it's very long and fine and thin I cnt anchor my hair to the hair on my scalp. So something better to cover it while down. Other times I must be strategic about how I anchor the length of my hair up to my scalp so it doesn't pull Orr fall out. It's silky so if not done well it pulls. Braids help I've learned ways to knot my hair or tie it or make loops by my neck and can get my hair covered. Sometimes I have to use a scarf or band for help to relieve the pulling by tieing the scarf up instead of my hair. Looking more at some hair nets. I used some combs with bands between em to fasten down my hair but anything on the scalp is too much. It's OK over time to adjust and change what works for you. I veil very diff now than I did the first 5 yrs. Tried a millions diff things for different situations and you find what works. My head shape and hair type play big part in how I can veil and what I can wear without it flying off my head. Took few years to work with my head shape, hair type, lifestyle and domestic duties and even labor type work I have things tgat work better for gardening or hiking or extreme sports. Another option to get hair up is braid in ribbons and 1 no elastic needed on ur hair itself and then u can put in bun or use ribbon to tie it up to the base of the braid. In a bun u can tie the ribbon or scarf to secure. I like a headband that's pleated but long and loose so when I put it on I pull the whole back down and it hangs like a veil but no ties long enough I feel satisfied with it as a veil abd reaches to my neck and shoulders but wears like a bonnet and covers everything (snood that falls like a veil)

Please do not cut your hair!! I was having a lot of issues with tension as well that’s why I started wearing the hijab style more often, but please, please, please do not cut your hair. It’s one thing to trim but it’s another thing to cut most of your length off. Start doing rosemary oil 2-3x per week. Just leave it on for 1-4 hours. Apply to your scalp and you can put some type of hair mask on the length. Sleep with a silk or satin bonnet. Make sure you are eating a lot of protein and getting enough vitamins. I would stay away from Monoxodil if possible (rosemary oiling is supposed to be just as effective). I’m going to link this girl‘s hair care account that I follow. The only thing I would do that she says to do is only wash your hair once a week… “Training” your hair isn’t real and not washing your scalp enough can make your hair fall out. But I have also heard if you start taking DHT blockers that will help with hormonal hair loss. youtube.com/@tessapeay?si=7dKJ6jFFH9E3dnps

I have been feeling convicted the past few days to start covering my head. I ordered some scarves that are coming tomorrow to start! I came across this video after searching ‘how to tie head covering with a scarf’ and I scrolled down a lot and saw a video on your channel about why you started head covering. Was not looking for the modest clothing part (I already dress what I thought was “modest”.. I watched your video on Biblical definition of modesty) I’m feeling so convicted right now. And what’s even crazier is that I looked at your name and it’s Maddy. My name is Maddie 😮! Lord please show me what you want me to do and give me the wisdom and strength to obey. Please Lord don’t let me turn away from you and find out the hard way.

As I have said on one of your other videos I love head coverings. I find them attractive, I think most Men who love Christ do, not because of sexural attractiveness, but Spiritual attractiveness. Which is counter-cultural and so nice to see. I love your hijab, but I will give this advice to all women. Sadly the Hijab has been taken as a symbol of the Muslims, and in turn is seen as such. So for Godly woman, it will be hard for a Godly Man to tell just off the bat if your a Muslim or not. And if your looking for a Husband, like I am looking for a wife, it may be a false symbol to an man. I say this because we can not be unequally yoked and the Hijab is a symbol of that to an extent. If how ever you make it clear, which I believe you do, that your a Child of God, then I do not see anything at all that could be wrong. I think the "church" went away from teaching 1 corinthians 11 due to not wanting to be like the Muslims. Fact is, woman need to take this back because we have the facts, we do not follow a religion, we follow Christ. Big difference. So woman have their work cutout for them to prove that the Muslims did not start this, Christ did through Pual. Thank you so much for these videos. I hope to find a wife that loves the Lord like you do and like I do.

I just want to point something out. For a woman to where a covering is REALLY beautiful. I did not know about 1 corinthians 11 up till a few years ago (as a man) and I had no idea about coverings. But after much studying of this, I have fallen in love with them. A covering is a symbol of your heart to God and a massive testimony in our culture today. So to put it simply for Gody woman, Us Men who Love Christ, Find your covering beautiful. It not about power as culture says us men want or to suppress woman, it about seeing the heart displayed on the outward body. That's why men should where long sleeve shirts and never take them off in public, for its the same thing. A symbol of keeping your body for God and your wife. Hold on fast sister, you will be attacked by many seeing the devil has twisted this culture backwards and upside down.

I'm a Muslim revert and I saw your comment below on something that was in my mind before converting lol that's weird bcz the most of ppl see the big issue with Islam is modesty and submission to men any way your comment was about that Islam borrows from Christianity ... look I red a book of a German historian called Theodor Noldeka [I hope I wrote it right] talked about this but guess what? He was just talking with no one single evidence and I searched in other books online it never had any thing I suggest for you to search on that really well ... We do not care who has the right. The important thing is that it is the right that will make us live an eternally blissful life, even if this comes at the expense of us devoting every second of our lives to searching for the truth. I don’t think it has to be that exact style. I think it can resemble more like our European ancestors head coverings like the Amish bonnet or a large triangle head scarf tied either under the chin or nape of neck. Not for a fashion statement but more because that is what looks best on European type faces and complexion. Head coverings aren’t about “how ugly can I make myself for God”.. just like a woman shouldn’t wear a man’s clothes because it doesn’t suit her it’s the same with different ethnicities. I think it’s fine to wear clothes that best suit your form and color. Otherwise why not just wear a sheet over your body? No, we instead cut and sew the fabric for form shape and add color.

Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." "˹O Prophet!˺ Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears.Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their fathers-in-law, their sons, their stepsons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful." Yes, they are very similar. I have heard that the Islamic teachings of Islam were inspired by Christianity since the religion of Islam was not created until the 7th century. Although many Chrisitans in the west have stopped practicing what the Bible teaches on modesty, historically Christian women have pretty much always covered their heads and their bodies as the New Testament instructs women to do so.

@@MadddyKayy Ahaaa well I think the misconception here is this: Islam isn't a religion after Christianity. Islam is the religion of all the prophets sent by God. So it didn't technically take from Christianity or Judaism. What then was the faith and message of all the previous prophets from the beginning of time? Islam is the same message that Jesus and Moses and all the previous prophets of God came with. So I'm sure there's plenty that overlaps in our beliefs because it all came from the same source but since man played around with with religion many things have been lost over time, like head covering. Islam is the message of all prophets. Nothing new. They all came with the same message of monotheism. Worship God and make no partners with him in worship. From Adam till Muhammad PBUH. We believe they were all Muslim, submitting themselves to the One true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, alone.
