I entered into a discussion with a female friend about these things, and the amount of push back and resistance I received surprised me. I had expected some, just not to the level it came. I now realize the difficulty women face in striving to live modestly in our culture; particularly, inside the church. So, thank you for giving us an example of true courage in obedience. I pray the Lord strengthens you and surrounds you with strong people to encourage you on this walk.

Amen sister the beach is no excuse for dressing immodest and doesn't become modest once we're at the beach. I no longer attend the beach due to it being too far away and also because of what other people are wearing I don't like seeing it. I would usually just put my feet in the water and enjoy the view of the water. But I do love the beach especially when it's empty. If I ever do go to the beach I definitely will be looking out for a burkini! God bless you!

I started veiling every time I leave the house for the past four months and to be honest I plan to not go swimming this summer at all. I want to be Biblically modest all the time and I wouldn't feel comfortable going swimming with a burkini or anything similar (I feel it would attract too much attention) so I believe the best option for me is to abstain. Its a small sacrifice I'll make for the Lord.

Hey, that’s awesome that you have started veiling! ❤️ I understand feeling hesitant to go to the beach wearing a burkini 😂 It was definitely scary for me, which I’m going to talk about in my next video but I just want to say that I hope you warm up to it. I know it takes time to feel comfortable dressing modestly in public, it took me months, but I hope that one day you will feel secure enough to still enjoy the beach and everything. It really is a great opportunity to spread the gospel and tell people about Jesus ❤️ God bless you sister 🙏

Thank you both for valuable comments. As a sister in Christ, please take my comment with charity and opened ❤, because you are already very close to my point. I believe we shouldnt go to the beach and be surounded by all that nudity even tho we would be still covered modestly. Would Jesus approve of this- all those nearly naked bodies around us? There are only 3 options for me: 1 not going to the beach/lake where ppl are in regular swimming suits (a.k.a. immodest) at all. 2. Going to separated beach- where are only women and small children and men and boys are somewhere else separated- like its in muslim countries, where they have beaches for locals. But these don't exist in my country. 3. Going to the empty beach. Give it a thought. ✝️ G-d bless you both.

@@mayjunealone5168That's a great point! Although we associate bodily temptation with men looking at women's bodies the opposite can happen as well, a woman falling in temptation with looking at the body of a man.
@mayjunealone51684 ай бұрын
@@smolcutie1773 yes, that can happen too. So here are my two reasons why I dont support visiting beaches, lakes, and similar places, where ppl are more undressed than dressed, is because: 1) I might fall into the temptation as well and its better to avoid this opportunity. Im still here in flesh in this world, I still can happen to fall into the sin. (So basically as you, smolcutie1773, said/wrote.) 2) such a place is full of ppl, who are dressed immodestly and only Lord knows their thoughts. I'll try to put it in methaphore. Would I go to hooters (or similar establishment) for a meal, even in my modest outfit? No. Would that Lord approve? No. Well, unless He would send someone specifically to preach and/or evangelise there. But except that, I believe, we shouldnt be present on this kind of site.

If we look back in history, of course we find in Europe that women wore floor length gowns, but that was frequently combined with sometimes low but flattering necklines. That was a matter of fashion and not modesty. Womens emancipation in the west during the 20th century encouraged rising hemlines and the wearing of trousers. There has been no requirement at all in the Christian churches to change that situation over this last century. What matters for a Christian women is her soul, it isn't pretending to behave like an oppressed third class Muslim.
@kashphiazaman97324 ай бұрын
I am a Muslim woman and really offended by your third class comment. May God guide you to treat everyone equally.
@sol_di_144 ай бұрын
If you are christian, you should read and follow the Bible. How is it that Muslim women can follow God's rule better than us? You don't need to denigrate Muslim women, that isn't in the Bible either.

I can't believe how much everything you're saying matches the Islamic teachings!!!! I'm sorry I've commented on 2 of your videos please forgive me I really mean no harm but I'm actually in shock lol Please allow me to share the similarities with you: "O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." "˹O Prophet!˺ Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears.Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their fathers-in-law, their sons, their stepsons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful." Footnotes to explain this specific verse quran.com/ar/an-nur/31

Yes, they are very similar. I have heard that the Islamic teachings of Islam were inspired by Christianity since the religion of Islam was not created until the 7th century. Although many Chrisitans in the west have stopped practicing what the Bible teaches on modesty, historically Christian women have pretty much always covered their heads and their bodies as the New Testament instructs women to do so.
@nadahindi26803 ай бұрын
@@MadddyKayy Ahaaa well I think the misconception here is this: Islam isn't a religion after Christianity. Islam is the religion of all the prophets sent by God. So it didn't technically take from Christianity or Judaism. What then was the faith and message of all the previous prophets from the beginning of time? Islam is the same message that Jesus and Moses and all the previous prophets of God came with. So I'm sure there's plenty that overlaps in our beliefs because it all came from the same source but since man played around with with religion many things have been lost over time, like head covering. Islam is the message of all prophets. Nothing new. They all came with the same message of monotheism. Worship God and make no partners with him in worship. From Adam till Muhammad PBUH. We believe they were all Muslim, submitting themselves to the One true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, alone.
