Folks who want greats schools, safe neighborhoods, law enforcement who will serve and protect their property, adequate shopping, easy access to nature and outside activities Please move to Castle Rock or Douglas or Elbert County. You also the fact that their are no cannabis stores, and these place are not sanctuary cities. Lastly there are zero homeless and zero tolerance for panhandling drug addicts. Denver is a prime example of the lack of leadership can do to a city. Socialized drugs, homelessness, crime, vagrancy, anything goes mentality has the low lives taking over areas of the city. Democrats leading from behind with any concern for public safety has us in the Top 10 worst cities for crime.

Homelessness has increased overall because of the increase in housing/rental prices. People just get priced out. You will find this anywhere prices have risen, which is anywhere where there are jobs.

the only thing I like about here since I moved 3 years ago its that everybody in Cordera where I live its a republican , but Job wise "no bueno " I move here following my wife Promotion as a Finance director for a pharmaceutical company , good for her but for me I have to put my career on hold for the past 2 years cus my contract with my previous company expired since then I haven't been able to find any job with my qualifications . I have to work at a warehouse , nothing wrong with that and we don't really needed it but I was getting home sick since its so " Quite " Boring some might say around here . we finally moving back this year , I would recommended for those that want to raise children at least for 5 years its a good foundation for them . but job Corporate Wise there is almost none opportunity unless you commute to Denver which I refused . if you are from the Tri state area in the east coast you would understand why I didn't .

Yeah, don't put extra money towards the principle of the loan either. I learned this long ago, but a KZbin video and my financial advisor agree. That money won't work for you, it's not going to increase anything. Instead, put that money, starting with at least 10,000, into a high yield liquid investment fund. And stay in the home you have as long as possible. One you'll have a home that's proven, established and comfy as well as an account with tons of money able to pay that thing off! Then go get a HELOC from your bank or credit union and do whatever the heck you want to the house. Never tell anyone you are purchasing something you need financing for how much your down payment will be either. Like with a car, the salesman will work with the financier to screw you over with that information. Don't give them that information. If they really bug you, give them a low-ball for the down payment. Get the loan first, and then make a big down payment you could cut a couple years off the loan right away. Overall trying to pay your house off early by making extra payments to the principle isn't as good an Idea as investment. Hedge your debts AND investments. Have BOTH. Good credit is best achieved by borrowing money AND paying it back. A future is best achieved by investing in something profitable such as a house and high yield market stuff. Call LPL. Find my buddy Bob S. Especially if you have at least 5 or 10 grand saved.

Almost impossible to afford a home here. $2,200/mo for a 2 bedroom rental apartment. Especially if you are a woman alone. Cost of living is off the chart. I just paid $15 for a rotisserie chicken and $16.50 for 2 packs of organic blueberries!

My parents just moved to Colorado Springs last year. I'm thinking about eventually relocating as well, and I'm a DJ so Denver only being an hour+ north is a huge benefit. I'm in Tacoma, WA and Tac + Seattle are wild. I can tell you right off the bat, both our homelessness and crime issues definitely are like, 100x worse 🤣 so this video helped put things into perspective more. Thanks girl!

Nice message. However, you missed 95% of Boulder. You toured the campus and the hill (also campus) and did not feature any of the attractive neighborhoods and retail in north, south, east and west Boulder. This appeared to be footage from a CU Recruitment video. Awkwardly ending with, "and finally" the U. of Colorado is a great place . . . that is literally all you showed.

I would have to agree with @MichaelOrtega3461 we have to collapse the system. Over the last two years I’ve been working heavily up in Florissant and divide Colorado. I begin to notice a year ago 2023 many of the roadside homes that were for sale and homes that were in the developments that we would be working in had for sale signs in them up, up to a year And I’m not for sure if these properties still aren’t sitting. I haven’t been up there in a few months I think many buyers are sitting on the sideline, anticipating the low cost inventory that has been predicted to happen. However, the buying options will only be available to a few. I also noticed Houses sitting much longer in Colorado Springs when I go out and do estimates. It’s pretty hard out here right now for most blue collar workers so if there’s going to be a soft recession, it would be much more welcomed Now, because we’re definitely having a hard pull back at the moment.

I'm 47 and a native here. I agree with this. Working for the utilities company here, I talk to residents from all over and Colorado Springs still is pretty competitive in terms of cost of living and definitely cheaper Utilities. Yes the crime rate has went up, homeless population and our weather can be unpredictable but we don't have as many disasters as other parts of the world. The most we get here is a blizzard, occasional hail storms causing damage and fire since we are dry and it can be windy at times. We don't get a lot of tornadoes that touch down or flooding that causes major damage. It's not scorching hot in the summer we will get to 100 but we don't have the humidity. The winters can seem long and exhausting but the great thing is our sun comes out and melts our snow so it doesn't hang around to become dirty snow for months upon months lennar winter days can still be warm. The last thing I will say is that our mountains are beautiful so make a list of your pros and cons. I've been other places and really enjoyed it but Colorado Springs is my home 🏠❤

Been here almost 10 years now. Looking to move though next year potentially. Lots of factors like the cost of living but especially the housing market blowing up here is insane. I'd rather go some place warmer where my money can go farther. For what I paid for my house I could get something really nice, modern, already renovated somewhere else on a shorter term loan and still have profit left over.

Also, the city doesn't provide trash service to the residents. There are multiple trash companies in town, and if you get a house you have to hire a trash service company. This means that there are trash trucks everywhere on any given day. Random houses with trash cans on the curb waiting to be picked up is a common sight on every street. And it's normal to have only 15-20% humidity all week.

I lived in Colorado springs from 1978 to 2009 still go back because of family, but to me what killed Colorado springs was the legalization of marijuana, it opened the floodgates the whole group of new people and then explosion of the economy forced a lot more people out of homes and work, why I moved out in 09 in the fact that the town overgrow itself and resources don't help, I know schriever Air Force Base the Air academy in fort Carson or a big impact but the fact that the cost of living and the legalization of marijuana pretty much killed Colorado springs you can't even breathe half the time without homeless people bugging you or going to Manitou springs to enjoy a day is this crazy out there and the crime is worse than it ever was, but it's still a very beautiful place lots of things to see and do
