Fuck dust. Oil submerged rig running 5 years and only gets to a max of 40C. Air tight, nothing can get inside, never have to clean it. Every 5 years you might wanna change the oil though. It turn from clear to brown lol.

Separating the cooling fins stops heat spreading from core to the other components and vice versa. Maybe not necessary, but a nice design feature IMO.

I remember you showing us the contact replater setup, it was excellent to see it used in a customer repair, to painless success no less. I would love to see a video of the repair on that motherboard.

Impressive repair skills. Such a W for the environment to see folks repairing and reusing even in the US which is notorious for it's consumerism.

Love the channel! The separated memory cooling from Sapphire that generation actually made it one of the better cards to have, by the way. Nice on earning the motherboard! She's a beauty!

When you mentioned the memory cooling. That acts as a subframe to prevent damage from GPU sag. It’s not just a heatsink it’s intentional design.

This is worse than what i did with my r9 290x powercolor back then lol I use goop of thermal paste from deepcool or artic mx3 or something Ended up killing my vram cuz some of it got stuck under the vram, i didn't bother fixing that gpu since it's obselete when the rtx 2000s series is out at that time Yeah don't do this sketchy sht people
