Earl just needs to learn to be humble! ( Good luck with that!). He is quite a good player. Efren is better, and he never brags about his playing. Earl needs to take lessons.

Efren is not lucky. Actually, he's unlucky because he misses balls and doesn't pocket balls in the break. However, what he is that makes him the Magician and the GOAT is very, very skilled, so skilled that he fixes all the bad luck. So, it's the other way around, what he has is skill, not luck.

I gotta give credit where credit is due, back about 6 months from the time of this match, Efren just owned Mike Sigel in the King of the Hill final.... and what I really appreciate about Mike is the way he talked about Efren here. There was ZERO sour grapes about HIS lost and only admiration and respect from Mike. I know he's known as "the mouth" but even while he does talk a lot during his play, he always remains respectful of his opponent. Something Earl could've learned a little while playing. I still love Earl.... Earl is Earl and he's his own worst enemy at times but there's no denying his brilliance at 9 ball. As for Mike, I hope people realized when he got whooped by Reyes in 2005 .... he'd been retired for over 10 years.... and clearly not in his Prime stroke. But I appreciate his attitude and to me, that's what makes a real Legend of the sport.👏👏👏

Watching these two legends play is an absolute honor. I’ve researched their many matches multiple times. 2 of the 5 best ever in my opinion.

The thing is that people only learned about Efren because of television, and they based their comparison on who's the better pool player in which discipline on that, but what they didn't know was him being disqualified in major pool disciplines in the US just because he's too good and these feats weren't televised at all during those times.

Earl "the mouth"...I mean " pearl"... tells Efren he's lucky. Earl can say just about anything he wants to because he's a real champion, but it's so humorous when he whines to Efren. A lesser player doesn't have the creds to whine like that. Also, Earl is from NYC.

For one of the commentators here to say that you don't know what Efren is doing just shows how ignorant he is. Efren Reyes is the GOAT. He proved that even more upon winning over 20 more championships after becoming King of the Hill in these games.

Efren is the best in the world today, Period!!!! Anyone with common sense can see Efren is "NOT" intimated of Earl, he's intimated of Efren and have good reason to be. I believe what separates Efren from most he's not afraid to take a shot because he's very confident in his skills. It's obvious luck has nothing to do with it. I get a good laugh when I hear the excuses for losing, like "you're a lucky guy" and most not all of the commentators excuses for Earl losing is exactly what it is "EXCUSES" Do yourselves a favor STOPPPPPP!!!

Commentators are Mike Siegel and Trudeau, the owner/organizer of the tournament (self proclaimed multi millionaire/con artist as he did not pay Reyes from what I know). The “Mouth” Siegel should have stayed in advising Hollywood actors.
