Why not make Command dependent on owning High Council? Its not like people with 3 swordmasters have difficulty reaching 6 persuasion. I don't really think this will encourage people to go harder for High Council. It will just make card draws even more valuable.

What would happen if you make it so that the double shipping space allows for multiple agents or a limit of two?

Niche use of the "Controlled" Twisted Mentat`s intrigue could be discarding the last card in your draw in order to increase the chances of drawing particular cards on reshuffle. But you are right that probably that the card won't be used much for that.

Sardauker Commanders with reveal effects and Amber Metulli retreat ability is going to make her more viable I think

1:26:44 Plasteel Blades. This is how I expect this card to be played . Someone has 3 spice (or 2 spice if they're going to high council), they go to a Landsraad spot with a Sardauker commander, they trade 3 spice for 2 solari and a Sardauker commander, and immediately trash the card for an additional commander skill. I think it can be quite good. Using 1 spice -> 2 solari conversion, 3 spice for 4 solari and an extra commander skill that can be very worthwhile.

I like Uprising but tech tiles and graft cards add such a level of fun to the game that I still preferred Ix + Immo most of the time. These new leaders and tech tiles look ripe for exciting plays and alternate ways to scores VPs. Very excited.

Also, I think one aspect of the commanders that savvy players are going to take advantage of is the fact that if you re-hire your commander when you go to a deploy space, that's a potential extra deployment you can do that turn.

You guys sounded like you thought a worm valuation of spice trash intrigue was in some sense high or impressive. IMO it is clearly and significantly lower than the actual value of a worm. A worm, I'd say, is worth about that much plus 3 strength, as that's about how much you double in combat rewards.

Feyd is going to love the spy drones tech. On his reveal turn, he gets all the benefit of all his revealed cards. Then he pulls a spy for 2 swords. Then he flips spy drones and gets a coin and trashes one of his revealed cards.

I think you guys get Liet Kynes ability wrong. If you first go hagga basin with the ring then you would only get 2 spice not 4, one from the ability and one from the ring. It’s each time you would summon sandworm you instead get these rewards so you would have to choose sandworms not spice in order to trigger her ability.

Definitely agree with unique leaders being important for the game! I think leaders like Steersman Y’rkoon and Piter are tricky to design because it becomes more and more difficult for other players (especially new players) to understand what an opponent is capable of at any given moment. Esmar Tuek is (IMO) a much better approach as he uses public information and he’s probably the leader I’m looking for to the most.

I just played a game with her last night in seat 3 and that was nice going into round 7.

You didn’t mention the possibility of a triple card draw. Once there is a spy on Espionage, then it is possible to go there again in a later term, pay one spice and one water and also remove the spy on Espionage for an additional card draw. The double effect of drawing the card makes this into a triple card draw; the spy on Espionage can then be replaced, and another spy can be placed on another board space. This becomes self perpetuating, meaning that, as long as one has one spice and one water (made it even easier with the signet ring ability), then a triple card draw is possible each turn, as long as there is access to the BG faction. I see this as being a major ability, and a very good generator of high cost cards once it has been set up.

Heres my question: when are we getting more ix content? Immortality is perfect for me and I just really want more content for that. Didn't care for Uprising. More Tlilaxu cards, techs, and ix-immo compatible leaders is really all I ask for.

I was very wary of playing Staban despite his great ring because of that lack of diplomacy, but last weak I played it against some friends and was lucky enough to get lots of spy access cards! Someone else was playing Feyd Rautha and going for many of the cards I wanted, but then an even better card would pop up. I think the only faction access card I got by the end was Overthrow, but I picked up Public Spectacle and Power Moves early and that just carried me, I won that game with a couple victories and 2 Alliances.

Those big shipping turns still come down to a hair even if you know exactly what you are doing. They need to change it so that the timer stops during the animations or let you do the next thing before the animation has finished playing. This way it only extends the turn time when you are actually doing stuff. Also I completely agree that if the AI takes over it should not touch your intrigues. I've lost a game once because AI burned all my spice buying a tech that was completely useless for me and I couldn't go to Highliner in the next round because of that which would have won me the combat.

Curious, was adding Full-Scale Assault a mistake? Or is it a special way to get a dreadnought with all the same rules? As dreadnoughts in Uprising isn't a thing.

Personally I love the cards, spies and contracts from Uprising, but the worms and combats ruin it for me. With my friends, I play a (TTS) homebrew where I added spies and contracts to the base game ix/immo board so it feels like we're playing uprising minus the worms/combats. Playing Rise of Ix with Uprising is interesting because shipping kinds of balances out the worms, but then other parts of the game feel very imbalanced, like Dreadnoughts are utterly useless in Uprising because troops are so much easier replaceable.

I was one of those people when complained when Cheesable tried changing the music. 😄It's great.

It's not just you CJ! Haven't played a heap of Uprising but seems like I often get stuck between two paths, and both feel bad vs Imperium + Ix it's a decision between two paths that both feel like they could work (and are fun). And you always feel like you have a shot, not so much with Uprising. Looking forward to Bloodlines though. There were a couple of times in this one where some very interesting topics were raised e.g. "you have to unlearn things from dune imperium to do well in uprising", would've loved to hear what those things were :) maybe this is Cheesable making sure he is cross-selling to his channel lol, it worked, fair enough. I'm sure I will find the discussion in there.
