The hate was well deserved. A car company, as big and rich as Toyota, takes a brand as legendary and iconic as Supra, and slaps it on a BMW, just in a different wrapper. Thats freaking lazy and disrespectful to the fans of the brand. Toyota had more than enough to develop their own platform for this car

Yall definitely cooked here. The hate for the supra was absolutely stupid IMO. I cross shopped a supra when I was looking at challenger scatpack widebodies. I went with the challenger as it was slightly more practical and the v8 sound. But if I could go back, there’s a real chance I would pick the supra now.

@ I ordered mine in 22, so I managed to find a dealership that wasn’t being shitty lol. But there were stupid markups at a lot of places even before the “last call editions”

Yeah its just not gonna happen. These manufacturers will make something with 350 horsepower, a turbo inline 5 for 150K. They overprice the shit out of their vehicles if you want anything that can compete with the C8 and not just in a straight line the C8 is a track machine its going to be well into the 200K to 300K range

i think the rx7 needs to come back. mazda's lineup is ehhhh except the mx5, and Mitsubishi's entire lineup is sedans and suvs. Mitsubishi desperately needs a sports car again. :(

@ for a daily driver, Hybrids are literally the best…I’ve been working for Toyota for about 9 years now and aside from the old 2nd gen Prius I haven’t had problems with Hybrid engines, components or braking systems at all…but from a performance standpoint they make the car too heavy, and are incredibly hard to tune to make a smooth power delivery once you get to anything above 300hp Again, I love hybrids, but I currently own a 370z and a c6 GS and these are incredible machines, nimble and light and the power is very very good on both… With new graphite technology coming to cars I could see batteries getting slightly lighter and packing more energy and having better thermals, but I still can’t picture a 3200 lbs hybrid vehicle making 350 hp that is rwd and got some fat tires on it…I just can’t see it

Thats awesome thanks for the perspective. Not too many people have that kind of experience. I feel you that it doesn't seem possible but I mean the hybrid system in the 911 is 60lbs. It's obv not the same as a prius and doesn't do any favors to gas mileage but it's at least an indication that performance hybrids dont have to weigh 4000lbs haha -Mike

A corvette has always been a sports car from the beginning just like the Europeans but Americans started using price to make a car an exotic or super car but the corvette was created before all the other cars and it’s been around for over 70 years and had mid engine prototypes over 50 years ago if GM wasn’t being so cheap the corvette would have been the bar so to speak and then again many of those other vehicles also used GM parts and technology to get to where they’re at ,everyone wants to be American but talk down on our tech 🤷🏾♂️
