There shouldn't be a cashless world all it does is it gives the government total access to your private financial dealings!

Refusing to return? Your not a paying guest. If I choose to stay at a high-end resort, I wouldn't appreciate non-paying individuals with small KZbin channels roaming around, filming, and complaining about food prices. When I visit Las Vegas, it's for a luxurious resort experience and I am aware of the costs for food and drinks. It's amusing that you believe you're entitled to unrestricted access to do as you please. They don't have to approve of you. They only need to cater to those who are PAYING to stay or gamble at their casino. Trust me, your criticism won't affect their profits. I have no idea what you mean by "Common person coming in." There are plenty of other places you can go. Your $100 won't make or break them. I highly doubt you had any intention of spending money there. You went there with the sole purpose of complaining about them.

Vegas definitely is different from any other place. I have lived. But I do love it here, maybe I’m just a weirdo. I don’t gamble, I don’t drink. But I do smoke weed, and I like to jam with other musicians. Vegas can be what you want it to be. If you find that you’re only only being assholes, maybe you should stop hanging around assholes. Some of the nicest people I have ever met are in Vegas, and people are generally very nice and well mannered .

If someone does not take cash, I'm out of there. Same goes for Amazon. I will order nothing on line. I either go to a local store and if I don't find the item I need, I will substitute something else. I will not order on line. I want to see or touch what I buy. I rather do without. Period.

Oh cool, you lived in Lake Tahoe! That's awesome. I grew up in Truckee, CA. It's interesting - Truckee and Lake Tahoe, depending on which side of the lake you're on, can be as different from each other as Reno and Las Vegas are. I'm so over the cold, wet snow, though. Been dealing with it my whole life! Worst case scenario, maybe living in Vegas will make me appreciate the snow and cold.

Living in Reno with almost no friends is rough, especially after three of my best friends moved away. Sounds like par for the course, though! I'm not religious or into gambling, but I'm taking a crazy leap and moving to Las Vegas for a second bachelor's degree at UNLV. Hopefully, I can also check out the stand-up comedy scene and try Shalon Kung Fu (even though it's religion-adjacent). Maybe explore 1 Million Cups or other community activities. On the giving back side, I'd love to volunteer as a tutor at a Boys & Girls Club. To pay the bills, substitute teaching in the Clark County School District seems like a good option until I find something more permanent. Maybe I'll even make some new friends in Sin City! Here's to hoping!

The shows in front of the hotels were magic , the Pirate show ( at the Treasure Island , the Volcano , the lights , lava effects , the waterfalls ! Just beautiful, and a show without having to buy an expensive ticket or make a reservation ! I loved it ! A giant guitar ? What that going to do ? Maybe play Elvis tunes ? I don’t think it’s going to be the same !

😐 this is like any "bad" neighborhood. It's only bad in certain places. Most of it is just people who don't want to pay the normal rental prices so they keep the neighborhood cheap by giving it a "bad" reputation.

I am total against places that do not take cash. Especially something like a food court. While I do use debit or credit cards, I prefer to use cash for smaller purchases. This is one way to control spending and keeping on budget. Even for casino play I prefer to use cash since that is one way I keep track of wins and looses. I am primarily a slot machine player so I prefer to put in a set amount of cash into the machine and then play. If I loose too much I cash out and start the process again on another machine. Same thing if I win enough to decide to quit that machine. At the end of the day I cash in my redemption tickets and have a good accounting of my wins or looses. If a casino wants me to load my cash on to a card, I loose that ability to set an amount I want to play. They hope you will not notice how much you are playing and loosing or winning by using a funded card. It is just a way for the casino to get you to spend more than you would using cash.

Las Vegas, Nevada is the "money laundering capital of the world." Where else can you exchange $20 bills into blue face $100's? Try turning $500 in $20's into 5 crisp $100 bills at a bank you don't have an account with. From poker players to slot machines, dirty money turns into CLEAN $100 bills 24/7 365 days a year in SIN CITY. It can all come to an END if, casinos recorded EVERY bills serial number and matched it to the players card. Why hasn't Treasury Department and IRS already forced casinos to do this? The technology in slot machines could easily do so.

One day computers will crash and will not be able to recover any info held by the computers. Then where will we be???? I only use cash!!!! If someone does not want to take cash their loss. I will bring my own lunch to Resorts World. No way will they force me to use a credit card and pay interest on a $4 cup of coffee. Stupid is as stupid does. Pay interest on a cup of coffee if you choose but Im an intelliegent person to not pay credit card interest on a cup of coffee.

las Vegas is going downhill fast. the days when you could go to a casino hotel on the strip with a wife or gf and see a few shows gamble some and park you rental car for free are over. most casinos are owned and run by venture capital venture firms or hedge funds and they gouge you for profits, the days of casinos being owned by rich individuals that gave you a fare shake are gone.

Just say NO to cashless systems! That means someone else can control your money, and small businesses get killed with fees, and they have to add that into their pricing.

I was there in November '89 when the Mirage opened. The Mirage will always be one of my favorite places in Vegas. I know Vegas is all about change and growth, but this is an example of where some times change is not good. Sometimes more than not, we should honor and protect Icons that made such an impact. Going to miss you Mirage! and the Trop too! :(

They have every right to fail Steve. For you to exhibit so much passion toward a property in which you can't attempt to pronounce the French name fully cognizant of the accent required coming from bilingual Canada is somewhat bizarre. What did you expect to have happen when you did not get the written response you were seeking to enter their property to film? Do you think they are happy that their property is void of traffic? Do you think they'd be enthusiastic about having a vlogger showcase that fact if it's true?

I travel to Vegas from Canada twice a year. I bring the amount of US cash I budgeted for the trip. I refuse to pay the extra astronomical fees to use my Canadian banking cards. I'll avoid anywhere that doesn't take cash. If it becomes cashless, I will travel elsewhere.

I remember we did this on our honeymoon. They gave us a free breakfast, 10.00 cash, show tickets and a free dinner... this was 7 years ago tho and surprising to us the dinner and show was actually free. It was a set menu but it was decent. We wouldnt do it again bc the final boss was highly insulting to us. We said we literally just got married 2 days ago and we want to save our money to atart our life. She says so you are telling me YOU CANT AFFORD 30.00 A MONTH WHO CANT AFFORD THAT!!! We said um US and its not your business what our financial situation is. Could we have done it yes we could of but we didnt want to. We just wanted the free stuff lol . The tour took like 2hrs though...

Resorts World is probably trying to stop employee theft of cash. Also if that kiosk is spitting out a debit card, RW is probably hoping the customer won’t spend all the money on the card before they leave town. That would be pure profit. Is that how the kiosk works?

So if the system goes down, how would you proceed with any shopping, or payment of any kind! If you have a student doing some work for you and you want to pay them, how would you be able to do that! If a youngster wants to set up a lemonade stand to raise money for whatever reason, cashless would not work, and using debit payments, costs the vender for each transaction and once again, big banks make more money! Like they don’t make enough!

Well, for one thing, the KZbinr guy should have noticed that the food court doesn't OPEN until 11am - and he was there at 10:30am. Which is probably why the ordering kiosks weren't working, and why not all food stalls were open yet. This guy is clueless.

I think the commenters are missing the main point if this upload, maybe vague and speculative but that’s because no one but the new owners know, but tgr mirage is being shutdown because for whatever reason they believe it will cost them less. Vegas has had a pist civud gaming boon, but that is slowly losing momentum quarter by quarter, and it leads back to post Covid trends that sad gambling revenues steadily dropping over the years. There’s reasons all the hotels charge resort fees and parking fees now, there’s a reason the strip is owned mostly by two gaming corps, there’s a reason most of the property in paradise is owned by outside land management corporations. A very different era is coming to Las Vegas, you can think it’s too expensive buts its only going up more and it’s not going to change, when the hard rock opens in 2027 it will probably ushering in the new model on which all of Vegas, maybe/ probably Fremont as well, will be operating.
