The first time I took the kids to the park in the summer, it was like 10pm and the entire park was filled with children playing. It was much different than what we were used to when we live in CA. I can't wait to go back to Vegas. I miss the heat. I actually like it.

I lived in China Lake/Ridgecrest in the Mojave dessert in the 70’s. I was never outside. Always from one a/c building to my a/c car. Although never wear shorts in car and might need pot holders for the steering wheel at first.

Great job, Steven! Last year's introduction with our AICE 3 did trigger me to stay a couple of more days in Vegas post CES trip. Luckily, I won 100 bucks at the poker tables at Venetian. LOL!

We come in april...perfect tempts..
@johnwanamaker844 ай бұрын
When I was in the USAF back in the late 80's, we would have to do temporary duty at Nellis AFB. We would come in the week after the 4th of July. I was an aircraft mechanic, and I would have to stand behind my aircraft with engines running and make just all the flight controls ( rudder, ailerons, and etc) were working. Add an extra 200° to the temperature, I couldn't wait for the aircraft to take off. We would run to the snack bar on the flight line. We would take a sip of Gatorade and would sweat profusely. The only shade on the flight line is under your aircraft.

I live in Oregon and travel to Texas once a year, I pass through Vegas on the way back, and I don't think it's as hot as Texas, but man I couldn't live there. I like my 60 and overcast majority of the year weather, lol.

I love LMNT. But your Morton salt idea is pretty cheap.
@NOTLeavingLV3 ай бұрын
For sure. Also, we can all use a little less sodium in our diet overall too.
@cyndimanka3 ай бұрын
@@NOTLeavingLV I don’t agree. We need sodium very badly. When doctors put people on low salt and low-fat everything went to hell. Americans are sicker than ever before. I think you are right about the sodium in the diet part though because of snack foods, but not because of sodium itself. They eat too many snack fruits. That’s the problem. We need the right kind of salt. My mom’s doctor had her on low salt, sodium low-fat and she had high blood pressure and high cholesterol for years and years. I got a hold of her diet when her husband died and I took all of the garbage food she was eating away and I got her off of for medication’s and she lost 50 pounds. I put the salt and fat back in her diet.

@@NOTLeavingLV when my dad had a restaurant when I was a teenager and in my 20s, we had salt tablets in the kitchen and we took them. When you sweat a lot, the salt and sodium in your system is just not there and we need it so bad. That’s part of the reason people have sunstroke and heat stroke is because they’ve lost so much sodium and it’s very dangerous for your heart. People walking around sweating and drinking Coke is not the right plan. Even sometimes.

@@NOTLeavingLV Sorry for so much commenting. The strange thing about me is I’m super salt sensitive. When I eat too much salt, I am swollen from my face to my feet. I’m on a water pill to help. But when it’s really hot, my body wants to hang onto all that fluid , and it just won’t let go

WOW!!! Awesome video Steven. Good stuff to know about Gatorade. Another good tip to put on this video is where to buy cheap water. I think ABC store is the cheapest. CVS and Walgreens is good too but never buy it from the bar or hotel casino. Thats city and highway robbery. lol lol Gotta love that DJi pocket 3 camera. Super clear!!! Thanks for sharing. Video Idea: As you know Mirage is closing July 17th. Would be awesome to film the inside and outside before it closes down just to have it on record.

Thanks boss. Yep the pocket 3 does a good job. I edit color afterward to make it pop a little more. A Mirage video is coming towards the end of the properties lifespan when it will get more attention. Thanks again!

Excellent video Steven. I lived in Las Vegas for six years so I'm quite aware of what you're talking about. Luckily I was able to garage the cars and had covered parking at work. The batteries didn't last though. I lived in Southern Highlands. It is a very dry heat making it much more tolerable compared to the East Coast in August with all the humidity. Las Vegas can be very windy at times making flights in and out of there an adventure sometimes. Las Vegas also goes through a monsoon season where it can rain really hard for a short period of time and cause some local flooding.
