Dragon dome and mythic tier complete! And it looks sweet! When I started following along with your videos after having the notion to paint heroquest (previously I was going to pay pay someone). I thought I may get some basic techniques get some nice colours However, after painting along and (jumping around a bit following my fancy). I'm producing mini I never would have dreamed I could have painted! Still alot more to learn. But I know 'it's just paint- if O may a mistake paint over it). Aloha. I'm now also working on my Heroquest miniatures. all prepared with slapchop. very, very nice work you did there. I really like your miniatures and they are a source of inspiration for painting. I have a question for you. what did you base it with? I primed mine with Vallejo Black from the can and found that all, really all of the miniatures were still sticky after three days and had to add a layer of black from the dropper over it by hand. Now it fits. It's probably because of the cheap plastic. actually a shame for the price. Greetings from Germany 🤘
@notyourmothershobbies24 күн бұрын
This time around I used rattle cans. The black I did was a cheap Tremclad Rust - Black spray, and then the white was Games Workshop Wraithbone spray. I haven't had time lately to whip out the old airbrush for smooth coats, and the weather has been too nice haha so this has been just fine.

They just keep getting better and better! I'm just starting the first of the expansions now, exclusively following your methods. They're so much better than what I was doing before. Quick question, would adding Nuln Oil/ Reikland Earthshade to a gloss medium give similar results as the originals?

These are still on my "to do" pile. But coming up quick. I've been thinking on how to do them. I want the colors of the card art (her white top, pale cyan skin, teal hair and dress) to show, all while keeping the translucentness. Every video has them using opaque paints. I'm thinking very thinned down speed paints for it all, but I'm not sure about a dry brush. Your white looks good, but I'm wondering if a darker blue would work. Especially if the translucents have tone.
@notyourmothershobbiesАй бұрын
Maybe do the drybrush first, then apply the speed paints? 🤔
