That greenish stone looks really nice. Fits perfectly with those gold parts too. I myself painted all of these to resemble sand stone, so they became pretty much the opposite, very light in color. Kinda makes me wish I had waited for this recipe, even though I like mine quite a bit too.

I'm still way back in the core set as far as my painting goes but this is my go to spot for learning to paint so thank you for continuing to paint HeroQuest. Question, are you going to paint/shade the Prophecy of Telor orange mini's or do you have a suggestion for shading them to make their features stand out?

I wont be doing the Prophecy of Telor orange minis. Those sculpts were released as alternates in the original Avalon pre-order in 2021. They came in green plastic and I painted them (and show some) the same as my videos for those respective monsters (orc/goblin/undead/etc)

the dakkadakka compatibility chart suggests jade green (026) and emerald (838) from vallejo, and jade green from two thin coats :o

Which black undercoat do you use? Is it acrylic? Also, how do you (if you do) varnish after the piece is complete. Ta very much.

@@michaelhill6453 the undercoat is just some Rust-Oleum black primer spray, and the varnish is another Rust-Oleum spray; Chalk matte varnish. Nothing special 😜
