Does anyone know if you unplug the MAF and just run the wideband ? or if u still need the maf after you've installed everything?

What this video doesn't tell you is when you base the selling price of your car off what dealers are selling for, it'll take you a long time to sell. Think about this: if a dealer sells a car that is similar to yours for $25,000, and you list it for the same price. As a buyer, it's a no-brainer to buy from a dealer since they are required by law to spend money on safety inspection before selling, and also on reconditioning the car to a satisfactory standard. Meanwhile, the private seller just decides to wake up one morning and post their cars for sale, you see where the problem is? No safety inspection, no reconditioning, just straight up posting for sale. What if the car fails a couple of days after purchase? With a dealer, you can negotiate that and as required by law, they have to fix whatever problems related to safety issues (i.e. Wheel bearing, seat belt malfunction, faulty tires, brakes, etc). With private sales, they give you the keys, and it's all on you, good luck trying to sue a private party. So yeah, that pricing strategy ain't gonna work.

The lower shock nut needs to be torqued at ride height.

Unbelivable! A good example of why you should take this job to someone properly equipped to do it -- i.e. with a 20 tonne press. It would have saved loads of time and would have been cheaper after buying a new driveshaft due to mullering the original! The correct way to remove an ABS reluctor ring is to drill a couple of holes between two teeth - then it just snaps as you tap it off. And I ain't even a mechanic!

Great Job, I'm about to do the same thing, that is how i found the video. This is very overbuilt, which is good. It seems you used Doug Fir instead of yellow pine. Doug Fir isn't supposed to be used in a joist / rafter type situation. Usually for studs only. Doug fir is much easier to work with though and in the end won't make a difference given how overbuilt this is. You could have also scabbed osb to the side of the Scissor truss after adding another 2x6 to even the thickness instead of adding another truss inbetween. If you do this method the OSB should be nailed or stapled every 6"s or so

I just unplug that connector when I go off road or in the snow. I was under the impression, the 07 - 09 had factory disable switches.

You can tell he is a engineer. There was nothing wrong with that concrete. Holy crap it was a 7000lb lift . You only need 4 inches for 7k lift.

I did exactly this and increase my height from 2400mm to 3200mm for an almost cathedral style ceiling!! Nice work on calculations I did the old school engineering where I slapped it and said “that’s not going anywhere”

Question! I have 2008 sport model awd, and instead of the three wires like yours has, mine has only two wires, one is green and the other one is white with black stripe. Which one do I cut into? I’m assuming it’s the green one, but I’m only guessing at this point.

Have you considered installing the plastic 2005-2009 VVT variable length runner intake manifold? I hear it can add a few HP

couple of tips. press the shaft out before taking the hub loose from the suspension. put a jack under the control arm before trying to take the top hub bolt out. if all else fails, add lots of heat.

That's a lot of lumber to add, couldn't you just raise the interfering rafters up a few feet? I'm trying to put a ceiling up higher in my garage, but not to accommodate a lift.

Why didn’t you just mark the the bottom rack spline first? Your video says you did at a later point, but the results would say if you did you didn’t re install on the mark. A lot of unneeded bullshit could have been avoided had you done the procedure as the FSM details from Toyota. I am looking at it right now. Also never use a cheap Chinese steering shaft shame shame lol. Decent video otherwise.

i put a mid rise lift in my single car garage last week, it hit one ceiling joist, so i converted that one joist into scissor joist using mostly aLL the wood already in place, no need to over engineer things. IT took me just over 2 HRS. up in north maine we get high snow loads but i installed a metal roof 4 yrs ago which gets rid of snow.
