Can't remember if you'd mentioned it in your other videos but 'Hostile Investigator' is such an MHayashi card - 3 for 1 as a bare minimum & it can run away with games

Good to see you back M. This might be a weird angle to appreciate your decks from but I always liked the flavor of them. A red mage aggressively shuffling through research desks and flipping through tomes to find out more ways to blow up lands

Please try fountain bell in the mono white version with restoration of eiganjo and Serra paragon for pioneer. Also the modern bans tomorrow should make the format more playable. With no one ring it could become a Grindy mid range paradise I think. I will personally be playing mono white 12 field with white orchid phantom in modern.

i second this! I would love to see more grindy versions of other colors too especially mono white with eganjo and serra. It's just such perfect Mhyashi Style value and serra can get back the fields and so can eganjo while eganjo also recycles card draw engines and becomes a 3/4 vig that makes 1/1s every turn and serra can get that back too and it just seems like such amazing value.

Welcome back! Cardpool is deep. And meta is narrow, so solutions can be found. Over 35%of the meta is boros energy - basically x/1 tribal with ring and phlage. Cast into the fire answers everything but phlage in those deck.

Disruptor Flute is pretty versatile for nuking Rings. Arena of Glory, Hired Claw, Kellan and Twinflame Tyrant have been great additions to my Historic Obosh and Mono-Red brews too.

@herbb10 yup the diversity of archetypes is great! If only the diversity of card sets was as good, but either way if you like it, enjoy, it's got some good things going on, they just aren't things that appeal most to me.

I know you’re probably tired of hearing this, but any thoughts on ever going back to merfolk? Especially now that they have a blood moon on a stick. Regardless, hope you’re doing well and will always appreciate the content you put out for my two favorite decks.

I've been burnt out on magic too and so has all my playgroup irl. Magic in general is in its worst place ever imo and it's been that way for a while now, it's starting to catch up on players. Constructed play in my area is almost completely dead, and we used to have weekly leagues in many different formats. It's too much product to keep up with for the avarage player. Add to that the staleness of modern for ever since mh2 and cards like grief, the ring and nadu being able to see play many months/years before seeing a ban. The card quality in modern is so optimized that brewing is almost dead. Well that's my personal rant. Good to have you back anyhow!

@kisskoyo glad to be back, thank you! Yea, FIRE design definitely made Magic into something different, but honestly I feel like Pioneer has at least been somewhat decent in not having the entire format upended with one set (yet)
